Description

Automatic lubrication device. When lubricating cranes and other machines, etc., it is desirable to operate all Liche lubrication points automatically from a central point, since most of the lubrication points are difficult to access during operation. The pressure generated by the lubrication device must be such that the distant lubrication points are also adequately provided with lubricant.

To achieve this, automatic lubricating devices have already been provided, the characteristic feature of which is that by rotating a shaft mounted in a housing and provided with eccentric disks, pump pistons are inevitably moved back and forth and thereby the lubricant from one The lubricant tank is sucked in and fed to the various lubrication points under pressure, the access of the lubricant to the pump piston via special, opening respectively. Closing access openings take place, depending on whether the pump pistons perform the suction or pressure movement.

These known lubricating devices have the major disadvantage that the access of the lubricant to the pump piston re regulating openings in constantly opening respectively. closing, i.e. in so-called creeping movement, so that the full passage cross-section to the pump piston is only available to the lubricant for a very short time, and only at the moment when the passage changes from the open position to the closed position.

As a result, it is not possible for the pump pistons to suck in sufficient lubricant from the lubricant reservoir through the narrowed passage openings during their suction stroke, especially if the lubricants used are consistent and are mainly used for lubricating the cranes mentioned above .

As a result, there is not enough lubricant available for the pressure stroke of the pump piston, quite apart from the fact that, with the gradual control of the lubricant admission, the inlet openings can easily become soiled and clogged by any impurities in the lubricant. Another disadvantage of the known lubrication devices mentioned is that they only work when rotating in one direction of rotation, but cannot also be used for both directions of rotation, as it often seems desirable.

The invention is now a lubrication device for cranes and other machines, etc., in which also by Dre hung a mounted in a housing, provided with eccentric shaft pumps piston inevitably moved back and forth and thereby sucked the lubricant from a filling container and the lubrication points is supplied under pressure, and also the access of the lubricant to the pump piston via opening BEZW. closing passages takes place,

in which, however, the device according to the invention by corresponding training of the opening BEZW. Closing of the passages controlling disc is made such that the passages for the lubricant are immediately fully opened when the pump piston starts to suck and remain open during the whole suction stroke, in order to be immediately completely closed again when the pressure movement starts.

This gives the pump piston the opportunity to suck in sufficient lubricant from the lubricant reservoir, and the powerful flow of lubricant through the passage openings also means that impurities cannot easily settle in the openings and contaminate them. The amount of lubricant to be sucked in can be conveniently regulated by adjusting the cross section of the passage openings seen in the valve pin.

Furthermore, the invention consists in the attachment of suitable means in the lubricant container, which feed the lubricant to the passage openings during the orbital movement, that is to say support the suction by the pump piston.

Another advantage of the lubricating device according to the invention over the well-known lubricating devices is that the lubricating device works in both directions of rotation, so it does not matter in which direction the drive takes place, while the known devices can only be used in one direction of rotation .

In the accompanying drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the lubricating device according to the invention are illustrated, namely: FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a plan view and FIG. 3 shows a section along line III-III of FIG .

4 and 5, the second (, From the guide form of the lubricating device according to the invention is partially shown, namely the figures show partial vertical sections; FIG. 4 shows the device in the pressure position and FIG. 5 in the suction position.

The device consists in both cases in a known manner mainly from the upper, the lubricant (z. B. Staufferfett) containing container A and the bottom of this adjoining, containing the lubricating mechanism housing B. In the lower part of the latter is the Shaft 1, which is driven by means of a belt pulley, chain wheel or ratchet located outside the housing, and its own. Revolution by means of the worm 2 and the worm wheel 3 on the shaft 4 carries over. On the shaft 4 sit two eccentric discs 5, which are set by the shaft 4 in order to move.

In the upper part 6 of the housing B, the pumps work piston 7, which are arranged in a star shape in the housing part 6 and the number of which can be as required (six pieces are arranged in the drawing). This Pum penkolben 7 are at their inner end, that is, between the two eccentric disks 5, guided in a guide consisting of two disks 8 and engage by means of two pins 10 provided with rollers 9 in ent speaking grooves of the eccentric disks 5, whereby they through the revolving movement of the eccentric disks are inevitably moved back and forth.

The pump piston 7, eccentric disks 5 and guide disks 8 are covered at the top by a plate 11 and are thus protected from the ingress of any foreign bodies, so that perfect operation of all parts is guaranteed. In the plate 11 is a necessarily with the Ex center disks 5 rotating cam 12 is arranged, which is intended for the actuation of valve pin 13 (see Fig. 3).

This cam disk 12, which is carried by a bushing 14 wedged onto the shaft .1 with the engagement of a ball bearing 15, is designed in such a way that the passages 21 in the valve pin 13 are immediately and completely opened at the start of the suction stroke of the pump piston 7 remain open during the entire suction stroke so that the pump chambers are completely filled with the lubricant, whereupon the passages are completely closed immediately after the suction stroke has ended and the pressure stroke starts.

In order to achieve this effect, the cam plate 12 influencing the valve pin 13 consists of two semicircular parts of different diameters, the transition from one diameter to the other. others is kept as short as possible. So there is no constant back and forth movement of the valve pins, as is the case with the known devices, while the pump piston 7 is working, but the valve pins 13 remain, for example, in the open position as long as they are against that part of the cam 12 bear which has the smaller diameter.

This part is almost half of the total circumference of the cam disk and corresponds to the entire suction stroke of the pump piston 7, so that the lubricant passages 21 in the valve pin 13 are completely open during the entire suction stroke. Since the transition from the part of the cam disc 12 with a smaller diameter to the part with a larger diameter is only very short, when the pressure stroke begins, the lubricant outlet 2.1 immediately closes completely and these remain closed as long as the valve pin 13 is against the part of the cam 12 larger diameter rest.

This part is in turn almost half of the total circumference of the cam and corresponds to the entire pressure stroke of the pump piston.

The lubrication device shown works in both directions of rotation, and no special changeover is required when changing the direction of rotation, but the changeover takes place completely automatically. For this purpose, the bushing 14 has a stop pin 16 (FIG. 3), which extends the slot 17 of the cam disk 12 in a concentric to the bushing axis. With alternating rotation, the curve remains venscheibe 12 for a short time, until the carried by the sleeve 14 and thus offset by the shaft 4 in rotation stop pin 16 reaches the opposite end position of the slot 17, whereupon he in turn Cam 12, this time in the opposite direction, takes with.

The valve pins 13 are inserted from the outside into corresponding bores of the housing part 6 and guided in a screwed cap 18 in the latter, where they are constantly pressed against the cam disk 12 by a spring 19 arranged in the cap 18, the surface with which they rest against the curves disc, is conveniently formed from spherical.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the valve pins 13 carrying the passages 21 for the lubricant have an adjusting nut 2: 0 at their outer end, which is used to adjust the length of movement of the valve pins, so that the appropriate setting means the With this nut 20, the passage of the lubricant can be regulated as required for each lubrication point, depending on whether the passage opening provided in the bolt more or less clears the flow channel from the lubrication container to the pump piston 7.

In this embodiment, the suction amount of the lubricant is regulated.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, there is not a regulation of the suction amount, but the amount of pressure is regulated while the passage openings to the pump piston are fully open during the suction movement. This has the advantage that there is always sufficient lubricant in the intake channels, of which only the desired amount is conveyed to the lubrication points. The intake channels are constantly filled with lubricant in this Ausfüh tion, and there are no unfavorable empty spaces for the suction, since a constant Ver bond of the pressure chambers with the lubricant is available.

7 are, in turn, the pump pistons sucking in the lubricant, which are in reciprocating motion by the egentric disks 5 actuated by the shaft 4, ie in suction or Printing movement. The setting of the valve pins 13 carrying the passages 21 is such that during the suction stroke of the pump piston 7, the passage of the lubricant is given the full passage cross-section, so that there is no restriction of the lubricant passage from the lubricant container during suction.

In order to be able to arbitrarily influence the amount of lubricant to be conveyed by the pump piston 7 during the pressure movement, in this embodiment the pump piston 7 is preceded by an adjustable piston 22, which is under the influence of a spring 23 and its stroke length is controlled by an adjusting nut 24 relative to the reciprocating pump piston t can be set as desired, so that it rests against the Pum penkolben 7, against which it rests under tension of the spring 23 during the pressure movement of the pump piston,

during the suction movement of the pump piston 7 up to a certain point with relaxation of its spring 23 follows, until the nut 24 lays against the housing receiving the spring. Only then does the pump piston 7 move away from the piston 22 on its further suction path and the gap x now established between the piston 22 and the pump piston 7 (FIG. 5), which in the meantime is filled with lubricant when the pump piston 7 moves away from the piston 22 has filled, contains the amount of lubricant that is now promoted piston 7 in the now more onset of pressure stroke of the pump.

The delivery of the lubricant continues as long as the pump piston 7 does not yet hit the piston 22 in the pressure movement. At the moment when the two pistons lie against each other again and the piston 22 is taken under tension of its spring 23 by the pump piston 7, the funding stops and the lubricant in the suction channel 21 remains here until the next Suction stroke.

In order to allow the lubricant to gain access to the gap x forming between the pump piston 7 and the piston 22 during the suction stroke, or to ensure the Ent softness of the lubricant from the gap x at the beginning of the pressure stroke, the piston 22 is at its front end provided with a recess 25 so that there is always a connection between the working space of the pump piston 7 and the passage opening for the lubricant, even when the piston 22 is so far opposite the pump piston 7. is set to go, that is, in the suction movement follows so far that it exceeds the passage for the lubricant (see position of the piston 2.2 in Fig. 5).

So it is in the device according to the water execution in each case only the lubricant located in the gap x promoted to the lubrication points, and, as already stated, the amount by enlarging BEZW. Reducing the gap x by Ver provide the nut 24 on the piston 22 ge can be regulated.

It has now been shown that the suction of the lubricant from the lubricant container by means of the pump piston is made much easier if the lubricant in the container is set in motion by vanes and similar devices rotating with the shaft 4 and the am The edge of the container located through openings is supplied to the suction channels, in particular if it is consistent lubricant, for which the lubricating device is mainly intended. For this purpose, it has already been proposed to rigidly connect wings in the lubricant container to the shaft 4, which extend from the Dutte of the shaft radially up to the Wan of the container.

Such rigidly arranged, radially extending wings have the disadvantage that they only set the lubricant in a circular motion, but not, as desired, press it against the wall of the container.

According to the drawing, vanes rotating with the drive shaft 4 are now provided in the air-conditioning agent container for the purpose mentioned, but are not arranged radially to the shaft, but are articulated to it in a tangential position, so that it is captured by the vanes and in motion brought lubricant is not set in a circular motion, but moved in the direction towards the wall of the container and is thus fed to the passage openings located here to the suction channels.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the shaft 4 protruding into the lubricant reservoir carries a bushing 26 which is provided with recesses 27 on the circumference for receiving the feed wings.

In the recesses 27 sen from the arms 28 and the actual wings 29 carried by these supply wings are movably fastened, in such a way that they are tangential to the latter when rotating with the shaft 4 and here by the lubricant in Press towards the container wall. Here, the actual wings 29 are pivotable about the arms 28 and have a shape adapted to the container bottom at their lower edge.

The movable arrangement of the feed vanes in the recesses 27 of the sleeve 26 allows the feed vanes to transition from one position to the other, that is, from the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 2 to the position shown there, even when changing the direction of rotation of the lubricating device Dot-dash position, so that the position of the vanes in relation to the shaft is always tangential in every direction of rotation.

Briefly, the operation of the lubricating device is as follows: As soon as the shaft 4 rotates and the resulting movement of the eccentric disks 5, the pump pistons 7 that are inevitably mounted between the latter begin to move into the suction position, the ones that move back and forth through the cam disk 12 open Valve piston 13, the suction channels expediently covered with a protective screen, and as a result of the formation of the cam 12 immediately completely,

so that the passage of the lubricant from the lubricant container to the pump piston is completely released. The pump pistons now suck in sufficient amount of lubricant from the container in order to push it towards the lubrication points when it moves into the pressure position, overcoming the crege pressure of a non-return valve in the pressure line under the influence of a spring, which is activated during suction locks access to the lubrication points.

This process is repeated with every revolution of the eccentric disks 5, that is to say with every back and forth movement of the pump piston 7.

Depending on the setting of the valve pin 13 by means of the nut 20, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, it is up to you to set the passage cross-section through the valve pin 13 to a greater or lesser extent, i.e. to suck in more or less lubricant , while in the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, by adjusting the piston 22 upstream of the pump piston 7, one has to regulate the delivery rate in the suction channel with the full passage cross section,

depending on whether the gap x forming between the pump piston 7 and the piston 22 is made larger or smaller.
