Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Sporthut nach dem Patentanspruch des Haupt patentes und ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Schweissband mindestens teilweise aus Leder gemacht ist, wobei die Länge des Bandes durch ein federndes Glied unter brochen ist zum Zweck, die beim Herunter klappen des Schweissbandes zum Ohrenschutz notwendig werdende Mehrlänge gleichzeitig mit einem besseren Anliegen um den Kopf zu erhalten.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass die Verwendung von ausschliesslich gewobenen Schweissbändern die Ansammlung des Schweisses im Hut ausserordentlich begünstigt und durch den Träger sehr lästig empfunden wird. Man ist also auf den Gedanken gekommen, Leder zu verwenden, es eventuell mit einem Stoff band, welches beim Herunterklappen des Schweissbandes mit der Haut in Berührung kommt, zu versehen und dann die notwendig werdende Verkleinerung der Lichtweite des Schweissbandes durch Einschalten eines federn den Gliedes in die Bandlänge auszugleichen. Auf der Zeichnung ist beispielsweise eine Ausführungsform eines Hutes dargestellt, welcher erfindungsgemäss ausgerüstet ist.
Die mit der Erfindung in unmittelbarer Beziehung stehenden innern Teile des Hutes sind in Fig. 1 in vollen Strichen gezeigt während das Übrige des Hutes strichpunktiert dargestellt ist; Fig. 2 zeigt eine teilweise Abwicklung des Hutbandes. . Der Kopf des Hutes ist mit a bezeichnet; b bezieht sich auf den Rand. Das Schweiss leder c ist vorne bei d schmal gehalten und hinten bei e ziemlich breit, um, wenn dieses Schweissleder hinuntergeklappt ist, die Sicht dabei nicht zu verhindern. Träger f aus Stoff oder Leder verhindern, dass bei herun tergeklapptem Schweissleder der Hut auf die Augen fällt und so die Augen verdeckt.
Das herunterklappbare Schweissleder ist hier aus einer innern Lederlage cl und einer äussern Stofflage c2 zusammengestellt. Es ist bei der Abwicklung in Fig. 2 gezeigt, dass die Länge des Schweissbandes nicht ringsum den Kopf herum reicht, sondern von einer Gummiband länge c3 unterbrochen ist. Dies gestattet dem Schweissband einige Verspannung zu geben so dass, wenn es heruntergeklappt ist, dicht auf den Kopf zu liegen kommt, und zwar die Stoffseite gegen innen. Auf diese Weise kann bei Verwendung des Hutes im Sommer das Schweissband stets gehörig abgewischt werden. Im Winter ist der Stoffbelag auf der Haut sehr angenehm.
Dabei ist der Ver schluss dank des federnden Gliedes cl ein sehr wirksamer, so dass der Hut in jeder Hinsicht sich vorteilhafter trägt, als wenn das Schweissband nur aus aufeinandergenähten Lagen von Textilerzeugnissen angefertigt ist.
