Description

Process for the preparation of the sodium salt of muscle adenyl pyrophosphoric acid. The main patent describes a process for the preparation of the sodium salt of adenyl pyrophosphoric acid, a salt of this acid which is sparingly soluble in water being reacted with a sodium salt.

The present invention relates to a process for preparing the sodium salt of muscle adenyl pyrophosphoric acid, which is characterized in that muscle adenyl pyrophosphoric acid is reacted with sodium hydroxide solution.

The new compound is white and easily soluble in water; it is said to be used as a medicinal product.

Examples: 1. 5 grams of barium salt of muscle adenyl pyrophosphoric acid are rubbed with water in a cooled ball mill and mixed with a little more than the calculated amount of diluted sulfuric acid. The balls are left with constant cooling until the reaction is quantitative, then the barium sulfate is separated off, the excess sulfuric acid is carefully removed with barium carbonate and, after neutralization with sodium hydroxide solution, the resulting neutral or weakly acidic solution is carefully placed in a vacuum Dry.

  2. The lead compound of muscle adenyl pyrophosphoric acid, as obtained, for example, according to Lohman, Biochemische Zeitschrift 1931, Vol. 233, p. 466, during the last purification, is suspended in water, decomposed with hydrogen sulfide and separated from the lead sulfide. After removing the hydrogen sulfide with sodium hydroxide solution, the filtrate is brought to a weakly acidic reaction, concentrated to a small volume and the sodium salt of muscle adenylpyrophosphoric acid is kept by precipitation with alcohol.
