Die Erfindung wird anhand der bei liegenden Zeichnung, die beispielsweise Aus führungsformen des Gegenstandes der Er findung darstellt, näher erläutert. Die Fig. 1 ist ein Aufriss mit teilweisem Längsschnitt eines Abscheiders für relativ grobes Material; die Fig. II ist ein Grundriss des Abscheiders nach Fig. I; die Fig. III ist ein Aufriss mit teilweisem Längsschnitt eines Abscheiders für feineres Material; die Fig. IV ist ein dazugehöriger Grundriss;
Device for separating solid components from air BEZW. Gas. Already known centrifugal dust separators have as the main part a housing provided with a tangential inlet tube, which consists of a cylindrical part and a cone-shaped part below it and a tube leads out of its upper cover In cases of more or less complicated built-in components, all of these systems have the disadvantage that they are bulky for their performance and that apart from coarse material, they are not able to separate any fine and very finest dust.
For such cases, filters are usually used, the purchase price of which is much higher than that of the separator with a lower shelf life and which also constantly require personal maintenance. However, it is also known to precipitate the finest dust with centrifugal dust separators, the separation housing of which has a relatively very small diameter (in any case less than 200 mm) and a very large height compared to the diameter. But the disadvantage of these separators is their low performance.
An uneconomically large number of such devices must therefore be connected in parallel in order to meet the practical needs.
The general idea of how we act from separators was based on the idea that the solid components that bezw with the air. the gas have been blown tangentially into the separator, due to the centrifugal force when krei sen along the wall of the cylindrical Ge housing and then fall down along the conical bottom, while the purified air or gas masses escape through the upper tube.
The shape of the separator followed from this idea. Since the centrifugal force increases with the square of the circumferential speed, the air or the gas was blown into the separator at the highest possible speed, either by letting the feed pipes open directly tangentially into the cylindrical part of the separator housing, or by inserting an intermediate piece that connects the The round shape of the feed pipe was converted into a rectangular one, which was easier to adapt tangentially to the jacket.
In each case, the confluence cross-section was not enlarged because the gas resp. the air should be introduced into the separator at almost the same speed. It was found, however, that the resistance which such separators have to the passage of larger air resp. Gas quantities could only be limited to an acceptable level by the correspondingly large diameter of the cylindrical housing (up to over 6 meters) and by increasing the diameter of the execution pipe accordingly.
Another, often common, explanation of how the separator works is that it was believed that the speed of the air or gas in the large spaces of the separator was slowing down so that the solid constituents carried along could no longer be transported and are therefore separated .
Accordingly, separators have been developed whose separator housings have oversized diameters and supply pipes that usually expand to two to three times the original cross-sectional area up to the junction cross-section.
The new, already known knowledge of the processes inside the separator leads the centrifugation to the greisen of the air resp. Gas flow back, assuming the fact that the centrifugal force is dependent on the square of the speed and the diameter of the container, inversely proportional.
The smaller the diameter, the greater the ejecting effect of the separator at the same peripheral speed. However, since the resistance that these separators oppose to the passage of the air or gas masses through the relatively narrow execution pipes increases extremely, only relatively small quantities can pass through these thin separators.
whereby the need to connect many individual devices in parallel with the resulting inefficiency is caused. In addition, an extraordinary length of the thin separator is required to prevent
that not yet ejected particles are torn into the discharge flow inside the container as a result of excessive inward radial velocity of the air or gas flow. Despite the different views on the mode of operation of the separator, the embodiments are identical in the point that without exception the clear cross section of the cylindrical part of the separator housing is seven or more times,
normally twelve to sixteen times the inlet cross section.
In order to avoid all of these disadvantages, the air mixed with solid components should bezw. Gas flow through an inlet opening of the tangential inlet channel into the cylindrical part of the separator housing, the clear cross-section of which is as large as possible compared to the clear cross-section of the cylindrical part of the separator housing, so that the entry speed of the air respectively. of the gas is as small as possible.
According to the invention, the clear cross section of the cylindrical part of the separator housing should be at most seven times the clear cross section of the inlet opening of the air. of the gas flow in this housing.
In addition, you can bezw. let the gas leave the centrifugal dust separator through execution pipes, which probably have a relatively narrow inlet opening, but which then widen conically in order to reduce the pressure loss caused in the execution pipe to a minimum. Also, the height of the cylindrical part of the separation housing, the inside diameter of which is adjusted to the separation fineness and accordingly, e.g. B.
is less than 200 millimeters, no more than five times the diameter mentioned, and if the inwardly directed radial speed should then be inadmissibly high, the same can merge into a conical widening below the cylindrical part of the separator housing.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows, for example, from embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 is an elevation, partly in longitudinal section, of a separator for relatively coarse material; Figure II is a plan view of the separator of Figure I; Figure III is an elevation, in partial longitudinal section, of a separator for finer material; Fig. IV is an associated plan;
FIG. V is an elevation with partial longitudinal section of a separator for the finest material: FIG. VI is a plan view of this separator; Figure VII is an elevation, partly in longitudinal section, of another separator for very fine material; the Fig. VIII is a corresponding ground crack.
The device according to FIGS. I and II has a separator housing 1 and 5, in the cylindrical part 1 of which a tube widening conically to a rectangle opens tangentially at the top and from which the tube 3 leads out centrally through the upper ceiling.
The polluted air respectively. The gas comes from the line 4 at high speed, is slowed down considerably by the expansion:. @ and is then, after it has been blown tangentially into the housing 1, swirled down the wall ent long, with the solid constituents separated over the cone shaped part 5 of the separator housing fall into the collecting box 6.
The purified amount of air or gas then leaves the separator through the outlet pipe 3. Calculations and extensive tests have shown that the quality of the ejection is independent of the circumferential speed of the air or gas vortex in housing part 1 as long as the latter is above a certain, very low minimum speed. The ejection depends not only on the centrifugal force, but also to the same extent on the entrainment force of the gas or gas. Air masses.
The faster the air resp. Gas vortex rotates inside the housing part 1, the greater the centrifugal force with which a solid component is drawn against the outer wall of the housing part 1; however, the rousing force of the air resp. Grown gas flow, which prevents the ejection. One variable that can still have an influence on the quality of the separation is the diameter of the housing 1, since the centrifugal force, conversely, increases proportionally with this diameter.
The smaller the diameter, the finer the material that can be separated. At the same time, however, it is pointless to make the pressure loss unnecessarily high by means of high peripheral speeds. On the basis of this knowledge, the circumferential speed is kept as low as possible ge, by the required entry speed of the contaminated air or. Gas flow through a relatively large inlet cross-section into the housing 1, which is also the end cross-section of the extension 2,
is reduced to a minimum. Given the dimensions, the pressure loss is correspondingly reduced, or with a given pressure loss, the diameter of the cylindrical housing part 1 can be selected to be considerably smaller than greater speeds would be provided.
An economical reduction in speed and a corresponding reduction in the size of the separator with the resulting improvement in the separation quality is achieved according to the invention if the clear cross section of the cylindrical housing part 1 is a maximum of seven times, normally considerably less, than the inlet cross section mentioned.
In the device according to FIGS. III and IV, which is intended for the separation of finer material than that according to FIGS. I and II, the amount of air or gas arriving from the pipe 4 in the extension 2 is again in its speed significantly reduced and blown into the housing 1, the diameter of which is smaller than 200 millimeters, corresponding to the greater fineness of the solid constituents carried along with it, and in which these are ejected and fall along the casing of the housing 1 into the collecting box 6.
So that the outflowing air or gas masses no longer tear the material accumulated there upwards, a reversing plate 8 is attached in the lower end of the cylindrical housing 1, which deflects the flow down the outer eddy in the inside ascend the eddy. In order to reduce the pressure loss in the execution pipe to a minimum, it is expanded like a diffuser.
When separating the finest mate rials, a cylindrical housing 1 of an even smaller diameter must be selected according to FIGS. V and VI. Since the speed of the air, respectively, directed from the outer to the inner air vortex. of the gas would be too high, the downwardly widened hollow cone 9 is attached, in the large space of which the relevant Ge speed drops to the desired level.
This hollow cone 9 can also be attached according to FIGS. VII and VIII in such a way that it leaves an interspace open between the casing of the housing 1 and the cone 9 through which the already ejected material flies out and is collected in the collecting tank 6.
As tests have shown, all the finest material according to FIGS. V or VII from air and / or. Gas separated when the clear diameter of the cylindrical housing 1 is less than 200 millimeters, its clear cross-section is no more than seven times the cross-section of the inlet opening, its height is no more than five times the diameter mentioned,
its Ausfüh approximately tube widens conically and a downwardly widening hollow cone 9 connects with or without a gap, which carries a reversing plate 8 at its lower end. For simultaneous cleaning of any size air or Gas quantities are accordingly connected in parallel with many units of such dimensioned separator. It is possible to provide extension 2 instead of each unit. The reduction.
The inflow speed can be achieved by connecting a number of such units to a common pressure chamber from which the desired amount flows into the units at the required speed.
The advantages of the invention are that with -equivalent air- or. Gas volume and the same pressure loss manage with smaller dimensions than before, where not only a qualitatively better separation, but also a reduction in system costs and space savings are achieved, so that separators can be purchased even where they have previously cost high or could not be used because of the lack of space.
Another advantage of the invention is that it is possible, please include to deposit the finest material economically with relatively small dimensions of the separator, and that compared to filter systems, a considerable reduction in acquisition and especially operating costs can be achieved.
The field of application of the device according to the invention therefore extends over all areas in which centrifugal dust separators (cyclones, fabric filters or electrostatic separators are used, for example when separating wood chips, sawdust, sand, wood flour, Grain meal dust, lime, cement, cement raw meal, coal, coke dust, carbon, fly ash and chimney dust, fireclay and kaolin dust and when separating solid components from gases from the metallurgical and chemical industries,
in particular from dye dust and many others.
