Description

Hot cathode tube. The invention relates to a hot cathode tube which is particularly suitable for generating, amplifying or converting vibrations of high frequency (order of magnitude i = 10 m and below) and high power. For tubes of this type, it has already been proposed to melt the electrode leads into a ceramic insulating body. Such arrangements have the advantage of great mechanical strength. On the other hand, with ceramic materials, repair is associated with certain difficulties.

Since in hot cathode tubes the part of the arrangement that is primarily in need of repair is the hot cathode itself, the present invention proposes that the ceramic insulator, penetrated by the melted electrode leads, be constructed in several parts, in such a way that the part of the ceramic insulator penetrated by the cathode leads is detachable from the remaining part of the the latter is connected.

As the Ausfüh shown in Fig. 1 shows approximately the example of the cathode leads .gi, .K2 penetrated part Ti with the grid and anode lead G respectively. , A penetrated part T be connected in the manner of a screw closure. The vacuum-tight connection of the screw cap can be made using a potting compound V or the like.

It is also possible to connect the part Ti with the part T2, for example by means of a glass adapter, the glass adapter being expediently designed as a lintel fuse Z (compare the exemplary embodiment from FIG. If the hot cathode needs to be repaired, it is relatively easy to blow off the intermediate piece Z and to melt it again after the cathode has been repaired. Because the intermediate piece is designed as a lintel seal, a spatially compact arrangement is possible, in spite of a relatively long glass intermediate piece between the parts Ti and T2.

The trunk socket P can be melted into the part Ti and protected against mechanical damage by a potting compound V.
