Es wurde gefunden, dass     o-Nitroazofarb-          stoffe    aus solchen aromatischen     Diazoverbin-          dungeii,    die     o-ständig    zur     Diazogruppe        Nitro-          grnppen    tragen, und beliebigen Kupplungs  komponenten, gegebenenfalls nach weiterer       Umwandlung,    durch die Behandlung mit       Ferroalzen    in alkalischem Medium in die       entsprechenden    o-     Ainidoazofarbstoffe    über  geführt werden.

   Die neuen Produkte sollen       alFarbstoffe    oder als     Zwischenprodukte     zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen     Verwen-          diing    finden.

Es        besteht        darin,        dass        man     den Farbstoff     4'-Methyl-2'-nitrobenzol-l',2-          -l-oxyna.phthalin-4-sulfonsäure    in       #        -izo    einem  alkalischen Medium mit einem     Ferrosalz    be  handelt.  



       Beispiel:     <B>37,7</B>     Gewichtsteile    des     Azofarbstoffes          l'-        Methyl    -     2'-nitrobenzol-I.',2-azo-l-oxynaph-          tlialin-4-sizlfonsäure    werden in Form ihres       Natriumsalzes    in drei Liter Wasser     an-          gesehlii.mmt.    Dazu gibt man 450 cm' 20 %ige         Sodalösung    und lässt     unter    gutem Rühren  bei etwa 40   eine Lösung von 168g     Ferro-          sulfat    in etwa ein Liter Wasser einlaufen.

    Alsdann erwärmt man das Gemisch auf 90  bis 100  , saugt von Eisenschlamm ab und  scheidet aus der Lösung den neuen Farb  stoff mit Salzsäure ab. Er wird abgesaugt,  mit Wasser gewaschen und zweckmässig  durch Behandeln mit heissem Eisessig ge  reinigt. Das Produkt ist ein braunes Pulver,  das sich in     Sodalösung        braunstichigrot    löst.

Das erhaltene Produkt ist ein braunes Pulver, das sich in Sodalösung braunstichig- rot löst.
