Description

Liquid heater with a valve regulating the flow of liquid to the radiator. The invention relates to a liquid keitserhitzer with a liquid to the radiator regulating valve, in which by means of a mixer tap the warm water coming from the heater cold water from a cold water branch line surrounding the heater can be mixed.

In previous heaters of this type, the cold water is taken from any point in the water line upstream of the control valve. This has the disadvantage that, despite the regulation of the water flow leading to the heater, a certain mixed temperature cannot be maintained if the water pressure fluctuations occur, since these pressure fluctuations influence the cold water flow. Since large quantities of cold water are often to be drawn from the cold water tap,

the passageways are usually generously dimensioned, so that the setting of small quantities as required for mixing often causes difficulties.

The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages, and this is to be done in that: the cold water path is only branched off from the water path leading to the heater behind the valve which regulates the liquid admission to the heating body. Appropriately, the path of the water pipe leading to the cold water faucet is branched off between the valve controlling the liquid access to the radiator and a narrowing of the water path leading to the radiator which produces a differential pressure.

This means that when the hot water tap is closed, an almost unlimited amount of cold water can be drawn from the open cold water tap.

If, however, the liquid heater is put into operation by opening the hot water tap, the cold water flow is also under the influence of the control valve in addition to the hot water flow, so that on the one hand the greatest possible mixed water extraction is limited to the maximum permissible according to the performance of the liquid heater, on the other hand but also the amount of cold water flowing into the mixing point is made independent of the fluctuations in the water supply network and a better, far more sensitive setting of this amount of cold water can be achieved through the cold water tap.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, for example, in which the adjusting member of the water flow control valve is used at the same time to control the gas supply.

The control device for the liquid heater represented by a finned tube 1 has a membrane housing 2, 3 with membrane 4, which via a linkage 5 can adjust the gas valve 7 loaded by a spring 6 to close, which controls the gas flow from the line 8 for burning ner 9 regulates.

A relieved piston valve 25 is connected to the diaphragm 4 and can be displaced in a fixed sleeve 27 provided with passage openings 26 and thereby more or less covers these openings.

Between this piston slide and the constriction 17, a cold water path 23, which can be regulated by the tap 22, branches off, which joins the branch 21 in the outlet 24, which comes from the heater and can be regulated by the hot water valve 20. The upper membrane chamber 18 is connected through a channel 28 to a point of the water branch line 14 located behind the constriction 17.

The device works as follows: When the hot water tap 20 is opened, cold water passes through pipeline 1'3 via openings 26: the sleeve 27 and through the hollow slide 25 into the lower membrane chamber 15 and from there through the constriction 17 and branch line 14 into the heater and further through line 21 to outlet 24.

The on. The differential pressure in the water arising from the constriction 17 is transferred to the membrane 4 in such a way that its underside is under higher pressure, so that it bends upwards and opens the gas valve 7.

This diaphragm deflection also results in a displacement of the piston valve 25, so that as soon as the pressure difference acting on the diaphragm exceeds a certain size, the water flow is throttled at the passage openings 26 to the extent that the pressure difference occurs the diaphragm acting differential pressure in turn the diaphragm load by the spring 6 keeps the balance.

This means that only a certain constant amount of water can always flow through the branch line 14, which reaches the desired heating temperature when the gas valve 7 is open. If the tap 22 of the cold water branch line 23 is also opened, as long as the tap 20 of the hot water branch is open, only a limited amount of cold water can be withdrawn, but sufficient to achieve the desired mixed temperature, because for the supply of warm water the gas valve 7 must be open,

but this includes a certain pressure difference across the membrane that causes it to deflect sufficiently. However, this deflection prevents the throttle openings 26 from fully opening and thus also limits the amount of water that can be removed through the cold water branch line 23.

In order to prevent the water from flowing exclusively through the branch line 23 when the tap 22 is opened, so that no pressure difference is generated on the membrane 4 and the gas valve 7 would be closed, the branch line 2,3 </ B> a constriction 30 be provided whose. clear width can, however, be considerably larger than that of the narrowing 17 ..

If the water tap 20 is closed, there is no longer a pressure difference at the constriction 17, the membrane 4 moves downwards under the influence of the spring 6 and the openings 26 of the guide sleeve 27 are completely released by the piston valve 26, so that cold water can now also be drawn off in larger quantities via the tap 22.
