Chronographe.
Chronograph. The ol @, jet rte the present invention is a chronograph. The latter is characterized in that it has, in addition to the second hand in the center, a small additional hand intended to allow easy reading of the fractions of a second and making one revolution in a fi-action of a minute, the whole being arranged so that the additional hand starts, stops and returns to zero, at the same time as the second hand in the center.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example. one embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Figures 1 and 2 are two views of the movement, the first from the case back side, the other from the dial side.
The movement shown is of the kind known under the name of Roskopf movement including the barrel. 1 is connected, via two wheels 2 and 3, to. the escape wheel 4.5 is the balance wheel. The escape wheel, which makes one revolution in six seconds, is fixed on the axis 6 to which is fixed, on the side of the dial, an additional wheel 7. 8 is the axis of the second hand at the center 9. 10 is the axis of the needle of the needle 9 revolution counter, and 11 is an additional axis to which are attached a small needle 12, a wall 13 and a wheel 14. 15 </ B> is the column wheel, 16 its drive pusher, and 17 the reset hammer. zero.
18 is a rocker the center of rotation 19 of which is near the axis 6. This rocker carries a wheel 20 which is always in engagement with the wheel 7 and which, depending on the position of the rocker 18, is in engagement with the wheel 14 or is separated from the latter. The rocker 18 is controlled by means of the column wheel 15, by means of a rotary arm 21. A pinion mounted on the axis of the needle 12 actuated, by the intermediary of the wheel 21 and of its pinion, a wheel fixed on the axis of the needle 9.
The hand 12 makes one revolution in five seconds and cooperates with a graduation divided into 25 equal parts, which makes it possible to easily read the fifth of a second which would be difficult to read on the graduation with which the co-operates. needle in the center 9, especially when the dial is small, or elongated in shape whose needle does not reach the divisions.
Normally, hands 9 and 12 are at zero rest. A first actuation of the column wheel 15, by the pusher 16, sets them in motion, the wheel 20 then engaging with the wheel 14 fixed on the axle 11. The second actuation immobilizes them, the wheel 20 then moving away from the wheel 14; a third actuation causes the release of the hammer 17 which returns the two hands 9 and 12 and the revolution counter to zero.
