Description

Installation rotary switch with at least two centrifugal springs. The use of several sling feathers in installation rotary switches for the purpose of more favorable loading of the individual springs is known per se. The installation rotary switch according to the present invention also be seated at least two sling springs, which are dimensioned such that if one spring fails, the other still operable spring is sufficient to operate the switch.

In Figs. 1 and 2, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown using two separately arranged centrifugal springs, namely Fig. 1 is a side view, the spring chambers are partially broken away; Fig. 2 shows the arrangement in a top view; Fig. 3 finally shows a slightly different arrangement of the spring chambers in a side view corresponding to Fig. 1. The spring chambers b and b, , which are firmly connected to the switch axis a, contain the centrifugal springs c and cl.

In order to avoid one-sided stress on the driver g firmly connected to the shift drum e, the centrifugal springs c and c are arranged such that their legs alternately encompass the stops f, and f = of the driver g, i.e. the ends -d 'and d "of spring c lie on one side of f, and f 2, the ends d," and d,' lie on the other side of f1 and f: respectively .

This symmetrical arrangement of the ends: the slingshot springs avoids pushing over to one side of the driver g because the pressures exerted on it by the two slingshot springs are evenly distributed on both sides and thus cancel each other out.

The described switch works in a known manner roughly as follows and is explained, for example, by turning the switch to the right.

When the switch is actuated, the axis c is rotated by means of a handle, not shown, and takes the two spring starts d 'and dl' in the direction of rotation by means of stops of the spring chamber walls, while the two at the other spring ends d "and dl" the stops f: and f, are recorded.

Only when the bias of both springs is sufficient to overcome the latching forces which act on the switching roller connected to the driver g is the switching roller thrown into the new switching position. The individual centrifugal springs are now dimensioned in such a way that if one centrifugal spring is damaged, the other centrifugal spring that is still operational is so strong that the switching process can be continued properly by the force of this centrifugal spring alone.

Of course, the design need not be limited to two centrifugal springs, but three or more centrifugal springs can also be used, each of which is then so strong that if one or more springs fail, the remaining good springs ensure proper switching.

The individual springs are placed in two separate spring chambers so that they do not inhibit or damage one another. In the embodiment according to Fig. 1 this is achieved in such a way that the two spring cups b and b are placed on top of one another with the opening facing downwards. The bottom end of the lower spring cup takes place through the middle part c of the driver g.

The spring pots can of course also be placed on top of one another in such a way that their openings are facing upwards; then the upper spring cup must be closed in a suitable manner towards the top.

Another design of the Federkam numbers is shown in Fig. 3, in which the spring pots b and b are facing each other with their openings. The interior is divided into two separate spring chambers by a loosely rotatable disk h about the axis a. With regard to the dimensioning of the centrifugal springs, the same applies here to the first embodiment.

If three or more centrifugal springs are to be used instead of two centrifugal springs, which depends solely on the size of the switch, a centrifugal spring is again placed in a special spring cup, the spring cups being placed one above the other in one of the ways described above.
