Description

       Fig.    1 bis 5 zeigen verschiedene Quer  schnitte von Strassenkonstruktionen, bei  deren Herstellung das vorliegende Verfahren  ausgeübt     wurde;          Fig.6    zeigt ein Paar Strasseneinfassun  gen im Vertikalschnitt;       Fig.    7     ist        ein    Querschnitt durch eine  Variante der Strassenfläche;       Fig.    8 zeigt einen     geeigneten    Unterbau  mit angebauten Einfassungen, und       Fig.    9 und 10 sind ein Vertikalschnitt  und ein     Teilgrundriss    einer Strassenanlage;

         Fig. 1 zeigt im Querschnitt eine repara turbedürftige Strassenfläche A mit dem Unterbau B; Fig. 2 zeigt wiederum im Querschnitt eine reparaturbedürftige Strassenfläche A mit ihrem Unterbau B mit zwei Sicherheits wänden C längs den Seiten der Strasse und "in situ" mit dem kautschukähnlichen Sand material hergestellt und in den Unterbau gepresst. Die Strassenfläche enthält eine imprägnierte Sandschicht von zirka 10 bis 15 mm Dicke zwischen den Wänden C und auf dem Unterbau B.

       Fig.    5: zeigt eine frischerstellte, auf der  losen :Sandschicht D     zwischen    den beiden  Seitenwänden C aufgebaute Strassenfläche  <I>E, F</I>     mit    dem Unterbau<I>B</I> und Einfassun  gen G     (Fig.    6);       Fig.    6 zeigt einen speziellen Typ einer  aus demselben     Material    gepressten .Strassen  einfassung;       Fig.    7 zeigt     wiederum    eine, von harten,       zwischen    den Seitenwänden C angeordneter  Kugeln N von 20 bis 30 mm Durchmesser  getragene Strassenfläche E, F, welche samt  dem     Unterbau    B durch Einfassungen G ver  vollständigt ist;

         Fig.    8 zeigt einen solchen Unterbau, wie  er bei der Rekonstruktion einer     ,Strasse    nötig  sein kann, wobei die     beiden    Seitenwände     "in          situ"    zu einem Stück an den Unterbau     ange-          presst    sind und aus demselben billigen, kaut  schukähnlichen Sand bestehen;

       Fig.9        zeigt     eine     Strassenfläche    F, E aus demselben Mate  rial, einen Strassenunterbau B mit einem  Fussgängerstreifen H auf jeder Seite und  einem Abzugssystem und     Leitungen        i,     welche aus demselben,     vörherrschenden    Mate  rial gepresst sind;

         Fig. 10 ist der Grundriss einer frisch erstellten Strassenfläche. K bezeichnet die Deckplatten der Abzugsleitungen<I>.I, L</I> einen in die Strassenoberfläche gepressten Abzug und M ein gefärbtes, ebenfalls in die Strassenoberfläche gepresstes Strassenwarn signal. Die genannten Kugeln N (Fig. 7) können verwendet werden, um ein Anhaften der obern Strassenfläche am Strassenunterbau und an den Seitenwänden zu verhindern.

  Process for the production of street surfaces, tennis courts, foundations, etc. The present invention relates to an improved method for the production of street surfaces, floors, tennis courts and other structures of the type in which huttable material, such as mineral, a iihydric substances with an Ö <B> l </B> can be combined and treated to produce a solid mass.

   The purpose of the invention is to provide a process for producing such surfaces and other parts, which process results in a hard, durable product which, however, has a shock-absorbing or shock-attenuating effect.

  The method according to the invention for the production of road surfaces, floors, tennis courts, etc. is characterized in that the pourable material, such as: metals or minerals or both, or ores or minerals and ores that do not dissolve in water, be mixed with a siccative oil, in which a relatively very small amount of a desiccant is incorporated, the resulting mixture is pressed "in situ" and then covered with a layer of heat-retaining material, so that the pressed, covered mixture by a chemical, exothermic reaction into a hard,

   but compliant material is converted.

  The heat-retaining material is, for example, sand.

  For the purpose of the invention, all commercially available metals in a fibrous or granular state and all minerals and ores in a similar state, provided that they do not contain components such as earthy, mineral dyes, earth, chalk, lime, graphite or similar materials, which dissolve in water, but only contain, for example, volcanic or metamorphic rock or sand, gravel, pebble, quartz or the like in their pure and natural state individually or in any suitable mixture thereof as the predominant component of the for the execution of this invention in question coming ingredients are used.

    This predominant component is conveniently a relatively small amount, for example 3 to 5 percent by weight drying. Oil, such as wood oil, nut oil, poppy seed oil and especially the cheaper, specially prepared linseed oil with an addition of a relatively very small amount of a desiccant and expediently added in a somewhat thickened form. The amount of desiccant need only be 1 percent by weight of the oil.

  The resulting mixture is pressed "in situ" and an essential part of this invention is that the pressed mixture is converted into a high-quality road building material by a chemical, exothermic reaction, which chemical reaction by covering the pressed material with a Protective blanket made of heat-retaining material, for example sand, supports which blanket retains the heat generated by the chemical action for a longer period of time.

    The resulting material has the first class properties of a synthetic material; which after drying can be sawn, cut, drilled, turned, planed or nailed, similar to ebonite, steel, iron, copper. Brass or wood.

  Useful metallic admixtures for the flaxseed oil as a desiccant are the well-known metal oxides or hydroxides such as lead, manganese, zinc and cobalt compounds, and the oxide or hydroxide chosen is advantageously boiled in a Form solution.

  The commercially available forms of linseed oil products, which contain concentrated fatty acids and resins, which are dissolved in volatile solvents and added to the drying oil, are unsuitable for the above-mentioned purpose, since the use of the compounds mentioned uses the siceative oils of their rubber-like ones Properties that are to be evaluated by the present invention are deprived, and as a result the road construction materials made from them become brittle. The degree of rubber-like consistency of the binding agents can be varied as desired.

   The longer these oils are subjected to a thickening process at temperatures not exceeding 200 to 300 ° C, the more rubber-like end product is obtained.

  The chemical, exothermic reaction to which these rubber-like substances are subjected comprises two separate, simultaneous reactions: on the one hand, an oxidation, in which oxygen is absorbed from the atmosphere in amounts that can be determined by weighing, and, on the other hand, a polymerisation process, that is, an agglomeration of molecules that takes place in the chemical structure of the substance.

  In view of the fact that the length of time for the completion of the "chemical exothermic reaction" after the material has been pressed depends largely on the season, the process can be carried out separately as a "summer process" and a "winter process".

  <I> A. </I> Example <I> of </I> a summer process: The metal or the mineral, water-insoluble material or materials are fed to a mixing machine in which the materials are mixed with the abovementioned binding agents. The mixing process must be continued until every grain of metal or mineral substance is embedded in the rubber-like binding agent, which takes five to eight minutes.

  In order to ensure that the required ratio of binding agents to the whole mass is obtained, an automatic pump feed device of known type can be attached to the mixing machine. The mixed materials are then released directly onto the street, where the street surface is produced in a few seconds by compression using a continuously and progressively working press and scraper.

  Five to six hours after pressing, the chemical, egothermal process begins, which generates heat in the pressed, rubber-like road surface until a temperature of 120 to 150 C is reached. The longer the heat generated in the pressed street surface can be maintained at the specified level, and especially if protection against rain and premature cooling is guaranteed, the more resistant the end product becomes and the faster the process is complete.

    It is therefore a definite advantage to cover the entire road surface with a layer of sand after the heat has developed, which has been preheated to a similar temperature and left on the road surface for at least 48 hours.

  The reaction is complete after the mentioned period of 48 hours and the rubber-like road surface is produced. The sand can be removed or reused, and after it has completely cooled and dried, the road is ready for traffic.

  <I> B. Example of a winter survey procedure: This is very similar to the summer procedure; However, it is necessary to preheat the finished road surface in winter to a temperature which is approximately the same as the reaction temperature of around <B> 150 </B> C. Otherwise, the process is similar, with the exception that the reaction takes noticeably longer in cold weather and the sand layer has to remain on the road for at least four to five days.

   When using a powerful and well-proven preheating furnace, 5 to 6 km of a road can be kept at the reaction temperature every day and considering that the preheating of 0.91 m (1 yard) costs no more than 20 Rp. Per day, so it is advisable to use the preheater in winter and summer.

  The drawing illustrates schematically two exemplary embodiments of the procedural method according to the invention.

       Figures 1 to 5 show various cross-sections of road constructions in the manufacture of which the present method was practiced; Fig.6 shows a pair of Strasseneinfassun conditions in vertical section; Figure 7 is a cross-section through a variant of the road surface; Fig. 8 shows a suitable substructure with built-on enclosures and Figs. 9 and 10 are a vertical section and a partial plan view of a road system;

         Fig. 1 shows in cross section a repara turbedürftige road area A with the substructure B; Fig. 2 again shows in cross section a road surface A in need of repair with its substructure B with two safety walls C along the sides of the road and made "in situ" with the rubber-like sand material and pressed into the substructure. The road surface contains an impregnated sand layer approximately 10 to 15 mm thick between the walls C and on the substructure B.

   The purpose of the walls C is to hold in place the sand layer or the balls described below with reference to FIG.

       Fig. 3 shows a loose sand layer D of 20 mm thickness on the substructure B and between the side walls C.

       Fig. 4 shows the road surface A in need of repair with a 20 mm thick. loose sand layer D on the road substructure B between the side walls C and a freshly created, seamless, rubber-like road surface E, F, which is pressed in one piece without side borders G (Fig. 6).

  The construction of the new road surface is usually carried out in two layers, namely a finer, rubber-like sand layer F of 4 to 8 cm thick and a coarser, rubber-like layer E of 5 cm thick made of pebbles or fibrous steel, and these two layers form a seamless one One-piece surface that is 7 to 8 cm thick after compression. Thanks to the action of the chemical reaction, the resulting coefficient of expansion of the materials is uniform.

       Fig. 5: shows a freshly created road surface <I> E, F </I> built on the loose sand layer D between the two side walls C with the substructure <I> B </I> and enclosures G (Fig. 6 ); Fig. 6 shows a special type of road surround pressed from the same material; 7 again shows a road surface E, F supported by hard balls N of 20 to 30 mm in diameter arranged between the side walls C, which road surface E, F, together with the substructure B, is completed by borders G;

         8 shows such a substructure as it may be necessary for the reconstruction of a street, the two side walls being pressed onto the substructure "in situ" in one piece and consisting of the same cheap, rubber-like sand;

       9 shows a road surface F, E made of the same material, a road substructure B with a pedestrian crossing H on each side and a discharge system and lines i, which are pressed from the same, predominant material;

         Fig. 10 is the floor plan of a freshly created street area. K denotes the cover plates of the trigger lines <I> .I, L </I> a trigger pressed into the road surface and M a colored road warning signal also pressed into the road surface. Said balls N (Fig. 7) can be used to prevent the upper road surface from sticking to the road sub-structure and to the side walls.

  By using the safety walls C, the side borders G (Fig. 6), which can be pressed into any shape, and finally the sand layer D, which allows expansion, or alternately the hard porcelain balls N, the sand is washed away by rain impossible. On the other hand, the above-mentioned safety devices allow the construction of permanent streets, pedestrian crossings; Discharge lines and the like. In hilly terrain, it is desirable to add 1% cheap mineral oil to the sand D before using it in order to keep it in position on the road.

  When buildings are constructed, the foundation of the same can also be pressed in one piece "in situ" from the same material, with side walls, as described above, being used for this purpose.

Method according to claim for the manufacture of a road, characterized by two side walls made of the same road construction material, which are pressed into the road substructure along the edges of the road surface. 9. Method according to claim and dependent claims 5 and 6, characterized in that in order to prevent the said sand layer and the spherical bodies from being washed away and to ensure that the expansion of the road construction materials can be uniform laterally, longitudinally, upwards and downwards , Lateral "in situ" made from the mate rial borders are arranged along the edges of the road surface. 9. Method according to patent claim and parent claim 5, characterized in that 1% of a cheap mineral oil is added to the sand used for the intermediate layer before use for the stated purpose. 10. The method according to claim for the manufacture of a road., Characterized by the formation of the road substructure and other road parts "in situ" from one and the same material. 11. The method according to claim, characterized in that the surface of the construction is preheated to a temperature of around 150 C in winter. um die chemisch-exothermische Reak tion zu beschleunigen. 12. 12. The method according to claim, characterized in that to maintain a temperature resulting from the heat generated by the chemical reaction immediately after the start of the chemical action, the pressed and completed road or other surface two days in summer and five days in winter with a continuous layer of sand preheated to around <B> 150 '</B> C.
