Instrument de mesure à index avec dispositif relais. L'invention a. pour objet un instrument de mesure à index avec dispositif relais com prenant un bras chercheur entraîné par un moteur à partir d'une position d'origine jus qu'à rencontrer l'index de l'instrument de mesure, caractérisé en ce que le contact entre le bras chercheur et l'index provoque auto matiquement l'écartement du bras chercheur en dehors de la trajectoire de l'index.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, des formes d'exécution du relais. La fig. 1 est un schéma d'ensemble du relais selon une première forme; La fig. 2 est une coupe, par un plan pas sant par les axes de rotation de l'index et du bras chercheur; La fig. 3 est une élévation correspondante montrant le mécanisme d'arrêt de l'une des roues du mécanisme d'impression, selon une seconde forme; La fig. 4 est, également, une élévation correspondante welon cette seconde forme montrant le mécanisme d'arrêt de l'autre roue du mécanisme d'impression et ce dernier;
La fig. 5 est une figure de détail relative à une variante de réalisation du système d'arrêt.
Le principe du dispositif est le suivant: Soit A (fig. 1) l'index d'une balance. A' un bras chercheur correspondant ayant les mêmes déplacements que A et munie d'un ergot contacteur, et M le moteur entraînant le bras chercheur A' par une transmission appropriée non représentée. En posant un objet sur le plateau de la bascule, l'index A quitte le zéro pour prendre une position<B>dé-</B> terminée.
Si un courant est lancé dans le dispositif, quand l'aiguille a quitté le zéro, le courant met en marche le moteur<I>al</I> entraî nant le bras chercheur A' qui suit l'index A, de sorte que l'ergot contacteur, porté par A' arrive à toucher l'index A et provoque ainsi l'arrêt du moteur M et, par suite, celui du bras chercheur A'; toutes ces opérations se font par l'intermédiaire de relais, <B>Un</B> mécanisme d'impression entraîné par le moteur de commande M du bras chercheur est donc en mesure d'effectuer son travail.
En enlevant la charge, on permet à l'in dex A de revenir librement au zéro et le bras chercheur A' est éclipsé, ayant rempli ses fonctions; c'est l'électro-aimant E C qui per met d'amener le contact du bras chercheur A' dans le plan décrit par l'index A, ou, au con traire, de l'éclipser par rapport à ce plan, suivant qu'il est ou non sous courant.
Ce dispositif rend toute fraude impos sible, puisque dès que l'aiguille a atteint sa position d'équilibre, cette position est enre gistrée; d'autre part, à chaque abscisse angu laire de l'index correspond une seule position du bras chercheur.
Le dispositif représenté est complété par le mécanisme d'impression des tickets com prenant une roue R portant 20 nombres, des tinée à imprimer les deux derniers chiffres de la pesée, et une roue<B>S</B>, portant 100 nom bres et destinée à inscrire les deux premiers chiffres de la pesée; la roue R est entraînée par l'arbre du moteur<B>31</B> et par un système d'engrenages et elle entraîne elle-même la roue .S.
Sur la roue R on a prévu des encoches munies de rampes d'accès telles que ces en coches soient à l'alignement des chiffres à imprimer, les rampes d'accès partant du mi lieu des intervalles de ces chiffres. Sur l'axe de cette roue R, il est prévu une bague b, sectionnée, de part et d'autre de l'axe du zéro de la graduation, d'un demi-intervalle. D'autre part, la gorge du zéro est plus pro fonde que les autres et, de ce fait, l'ergot du dispositif d'arrêt E, lequel ergot s'engage dans les encoches de la roue R, a une course plus grande à l'arrêt du zéro.
La roue 8 a, sur son axe, un jeu angu laire égal à l'intervalle de deux chiffres suc cessifs; un ressort permet de maintenir nor malement la roue 8 dans la position qu'elle aurait si elle n'avait pas de jeu sur son axe.
Cette roue 8 porte à l'alignement de cha cun de ses chiffres une palette a qui sert à limiter le mouvement de rotation en arrière et à établir un contact en fin de cette rota tion. Elle peut être entraînée dans son mou vement rétrograde à l'aide d'un petit moteur in muni d'une poulie frottante en matière légèrement plastique et qui pourra patiner sans inconvénient.
En se reportant à la fig. 1, on voit que <I>C, D, F, G,</I> représentent des relais et K un contact.
L'index A de la bascule étant dans une position déterminée, l'ordre d'enregistrement est donné par le contact K qui est fermé momentanément par l'opérateur; de ce fait, les relais F et G sont excités et, par l'inter médiaire des contacts F-2 et G-2, ils mettent en marche le moteur M qui entraîne le bras chercheur A', en même temps que l'électro E C a mis en contact 1 de ce bras chercheur en position de travail.
Quand<I>A</I> et<I>A'</I> se rencontrent, le courant est envoyé dans le relai C qui coupe l'exci tation de G et qui, par conséquent, établit le contact G-3. Le contact du bras chercheur A' est alors éclipsé, le courant est coupé dans le moteur 1t1, et envoyé dans le dispositif d'arrêt E.
La roue h'. a été arrêtée et deux cas se présentent: <I>Premier cas:</I> Cette roue est arrêté sur un des chiffres 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 et alors le frotteur f rencontrant la bague b alimente le moteur in qui ramène en arrière la roue 8 jusqu'au moment où le chiffre qui vient de passer la position d'impression y est ramené.
La roue 8, en effet, a été bloquée par un butoir indiqué en bac et la palette a a établi le contact en c qui a envoyé le courant dans le dispositif de frappe à commande électri que E 1.
<I>Deuxième cas:</I> La roue R est arrêtée sur le zéro, l'ergot du dispositif d'arrêt E a trouvé place pour une course plus grande; le contact 2 de ce dispositif a pu s'établir, en voyant directement le courant dans le dis positif de frappe<I>E I;</I> au cours de cette opé ration, le frotteur f n'a pas rencontré la bague b. Lorsque le dispositif de frappe<I>E I a</I> fait son office, le contact qui en est solidaire a établi l'excitation du relais D qui a coupé l'excitation de F et, par conséquent, remis l'ensemble dans sa position de repos.
Sur l'exemple de réalisation des fig. 2 à 4, le bras chercheur A' (fig. 2) est, de pré férence, constitué par une petite poutre d'égale résistance à la flexion dans un plan parallèle à celui de l'aiguille; à son extrémité est fixée une pointe de platine 1 formant contact. A sa partie la plus large, le bras chercheur porte une plaquette de fer doux f qui est attirée par l'électro-aimant E C quand on lance le signal d'enregistrement; ceci a pour conséquence d'amener le contact<I>I</I> de<I>A'</I> dans le plan de A par le basculement du bras chercheur autour de l'axe 0, comme il est indiqué en pointillé sur la fig. 2.
Dés que le contact entre<I>A</I> et<I>A'</I> a eu lieu ou quand l'impression est faite, le bras chercheur A', sous l'action du ressort de rap pel r, revient à sa position de repos et laisse l'index A absolument libre. On peut, alors, si on le désire, faire que, automatiquement, le bras chercheur A' continue son chemin jus qu'à une position déterminée, qui sera de pré férence la position de repos.
Pour obtenir une régularité très grande, même en courant alternatif, dans l'arrêt de la roue R dite roue des unités et, par consé quent, dans l'arrêt de l'ensemble, l'ergot d'ar rêt<I>0 B</I> (fig. 3) agit par l'action du ressort <B><I>B A,</I></B> dès que le courant ne traverse plus l'électro d'arrêt<I>E A.</I>
Outre le dispositif d'impression, le mo teur M pourrait entraîner un compteur totali sateur ou une machine à calculer ou tout autre organe.
Quand on est conduit à utiliser une force motrice importante (puissance du moteur M plus grande par exemple), l'arrêt par l'incrus tation de l'ergot d'arrêt<I>0 B</I> dans les enco ches de la roue R (fig. 3) peut être remplacé par le système élastique représenté schéma tiquement sur la fig. 5 qui constitue une va riante. On substitue à la roue R, une roue d'en grenage R, constituant avec une roue iden tique R.@ (fig. 5) les deux roues planétaires d'un différentiel. Engrenant avec ces deux planétaires, deux, quatre, six, etc. satellites sont montés deux à deux sur des axes X soli daires de la roue d'arrêt à encoches.
La roue R2 est fixée, par l'intermédiaire d'un sys tème élastique (caoutchouc, frein à liquide, etc.) sur le carter fixe du mécanisme. Dans ces conditions, Rl étant entraînée par le mou vement du bras chercheur Rz étant fixe, les axes X vont se déplacer dans leur plan en tournant autour de l'axe commun des roues R,. et R2. Pour obtenir l'arrêt de R,, on amène, par l'action de E A, l'ergot d'arrêt <I>0 B</I> à s'incruster dans les dents de la roue à encoches. Les axes X étant bloqués, l'ensem ble est bloqué.
L'énergie cinétique du sys tème a été reportée sur un nombre de dents d'autant plus grand que les axes X sont plus nombreux et elle est en grande partie absor bée par le montage élastique de R2.
Le rappel de la roue S, dite roue des cen taines, peut aussi être obtenu de la manière suivante (fig. 4 et 2).
Cette roue se compose d'une couronne chiffrée <I>C C</I> montée sur un tambour<I>T</I> par rapport auquel elle peut avoir un léger jeu angulaire rattrapé automatiquement, soit par un ressort spiral monté dans le tambour, soit par des ressorts à boudin.
Solidaire de la couronne chiffrée C C, il est prévu une roue T,. à dents profilées<I>d,.</I> Un électro-aimant de rappel E R à plongeur actionne le levier L R mobile autour de l'axe 2 et dont l'extrémité 3 glissant sur les ram pes des dents d, oblige la roue Tl à reculer.
Cet électro E R est commandé, quand cela est nécessaire, par le contact qui s'établit (fig. 3) entre les lamelles m et<I>p</I> quand l'er got d ne tombe pas dans l'encoche 4 de la came<I>C A.</I> La lamelle q est reliée au dis positif de frappe<I>E I</I> (fig. 4) qui est direc tement alimenté quand l'ergot d tombe dans l'encoche 4 de C A (position zéro de la roue R).
Les lamelles<I>m,</I> n, <I>p</I> sont solidaires du levier d'arrêt (fig. 3), Le dispositif ci-dessus décrit est une va riante qui remplace la bague sectionnée b précédemment prévue (fig. 1) et son frot- teur f.
L'ensemble 5, 6, 7, 8 (fig. 4) permet le déroulement automatique du ruban encreur 9, grâce à l'action du levier 10 sur la roue à rochet 8.
Le mécanisme d'impression pourrait aussi être placé à distance du bras chercheur et de son moteur de commande et les déplacements de ces deux éléments y être transmis à l'aide de moyens appropriés, tels que des moteurs synchronisés.
Index measuring instrument with relay device. The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, embodiments of the relay. Fig. 1 is an overall diagram of the relay according to a first form; Fig. 2 is a section through a plane not sant by the axes of rotation of the index and the seeker arm; Fig. 3 is a corresponding elevation showing the stopping mechanism of one of the wheels of the printing mechanism, according to a second form; Fig. 4 is, also, a corresponding elevation of this second form showing the stop mechanism of the other wheel of the printing mechanism and the latter;
Fig. 5 is a detailed figure relating to an alternative embodiment of the stop system.
The principle of the device is as follows: Let A (fig. 1) be the index of a balance. A 'a corresponding seeker arm having the same displacements as A and provided with a contactor lug, and M the motor driving the seeker arm A' by a suitable transmission not shown. By placing an object on the scale plate, the index A leaves zero to take a <B> determined </B> position.
If a current is started in the device, when the needle has left zero, the current starts the motor <I> al </I> driving the seeker arm A 'which follows the index A, so that the contactor lug, carried by A 'arrives to touch the index A and thus causes the stopping of the motor M and, consequently, that of the seeker arm A'; all these operations are carried out by means of relays, <B> A </B> printing mechanism driven by the control motor M of the seeker arm is therefore able to perform its work.
By removing the load, the index A is allowed to return freely to zero and the seeker arm A 'is eclipsed, having fulfilled its functions; it is the electromagnet EC which makes it possible to bring the contact of the seeker arm A 'in the plane described by the index A, or, on the contrary, to eclipse it with respect to this plane, depending on whether 'it is or not under current.
This device makes any fraud impossible, since as soon as the needle has reached its equilibrium position, this position is recorded; on the other hand, to each angular abscissa of the index corresponds a single position of the seeker arm.
The device shown is completed by the ticket printing mechanism comprising an R wheel bearing 20 numbers, tines to print the last two digits of the weighing, and a <B> S </B> wheel, bearing 100 names. and intended to enter the first two digits of the weighing; the wheel R is driven by the motor shaft <B> 31 </B> and by a gear system and it itself drives the wheel .S.
On the wheel R there are provided notches provided with access ramps such that these notches are in the alignment of the figures to be printed, the access ramps starting from the midpoint of the intervals of these figures. On the axis of this wheel R, there is provided a ring b, cut off, on either side of the axis of the zero point of the graduation, by half an interval. On the other hand, the zero groove is deeper than the others and, therefore, the lug of the stop device E, which lug engages in the notches of the wheel R, has a greater stroke when zero is stopped.
The wheel 8 has, on its axis, an angular play equal to the interval of two successive digits; a spring makes it possible to maintain the wheel 8 nor malement in the position it would have if it had no play on its axis.
This wheel 8 carries to the alignment of each of its figures a pallet a which serves to limit the backward rotational movement and to establish contact at the end of this rotation. It can be driven in its retrograde motion by means of a small motor fitted with a friction pulley made of a slightly plastic material and which can slip without inconvenience.
Referring to fig. 1, we see that <I> C, D, F, G, </I> represent relays and K a contact.
The index A of the rocker being in a determined position, the recording order is given by the contact K which is closed momentarily by the operator; therefore, the relays F and G are energized and, through the intermediary of the contacts F-2 and G-2, they start the motor M which drives the seeker arm A ', at the same time as the electro EC has placed 1 of this seeker arm in contact in the working position.
When <I> A </I> and <I> A '</I> meet, current is sent to relay C which cuts off the excitation of G and therefore establishes contact G-3 . The contact of the seeker arm A 'is then eclipsed, the current is cut in the motor 1t1, and sent to the stop device E.
The wheel h '. has been stopped and two cases arise: <I> First case: </I> This wheel is stopped on one of the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and then the slider f meeting the ring b feeds the motor in which brings back the wheel 8 until the figure which has just passed the printing position is brought back there.
The wheel 8, in fact, was blocked by a stopper indicated as a container and the pallet a established contact at c which sent the current to the electrically controlled striking device E 1.
<I> Second case: </I> The wheel R is stopped at zero, the lug of the stop device E has found room for a longer stroke; contact 2 of this device was able to be established by seeing the current directly in the striking device <I> EI; </I> during this operation, the wiper f did not meet the ring b . When the striking device <I> EI has </I> done its duty, the contact which is integral with it established the excitation of the relay D which cut the excitation of F and, consequently, put the assembly back in its resting position.
On the exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 2 to 4, the seeker arm A '(fig. 2) is preferably made up of a small beam of equal flexural strength in a plane parallel to that of the needle; at its end is fixed a tip of plate 1 forming a contact. At its widest part, the seeker arm carries a soft iron plate f which is attracted by the electromagnet E C when the recording signal is launched; the consequence of this is to bring the contact <I> I </I> of <I> A '</I> in the plane of A by tilting the searcher arm around axis 0, as indicated in dotted in fig. 2.
As soon as the contact between <I> A </I> and <I> A '</I> has taken place or when the impression is made, the seeker arm A', under the action of the return spring , returns to its rest position and leaves the index A absolutely free. It is then possible, if desired, to have the seeker arm A 'automatically continue its path to a determined position, which will preferably be the rest position.
To obtain a very great regularity, even in alternating current, in stopping the wheel R called the unit wheel and, consequently, in stopping the assembly, the stop pin <I> 0 B </I> (fig. 3) acts by the action of the spring <B><I>BA,</I> </B> as soon as the current no longer passes through the stop electro <I> E A. </I>
In addition to the printing device, the motor M could drive a totalizer or a calculating machine or any other component.
When one is led to use a significant driving force (greater power of the motor M for example), the stop by the incrustation of the stop pin <I> 0 B </I> in the notches of the wheel R (fig. 3) can be replaced by the elastic system shown diagrammatically in fig. 5 which is a laughing matter. The wheel R is replaced by a gear wheel R, constituting with an identical wheel R. @ (fig. 5) the two planetary wheels of a differential. Meshing with these two planets, two, four, six, etc. satellites are mounted two by two on solid X axes of the notched stop wheel.
The wheel R2 is fixed, by means of an elastic system (rubber, fluid brake, etc.) on the fixed casing of the mechanism. Under these conditions, Rl being driven by the movement of the seeker arm Rz being fixed, the axes X will move in their plane while rotating around the common axis of the wheels R i. and R2. To obtain the stop of R ,, one brings, by the action of E A, the stop pin <I> 0 B </I> to become embedded in the teeth of the notched wheel. The X axes being blocked, the assembly is blocked.
The kinetic energy of the system has been transferred to a number of teeth, the greater the greater the number of X axes, and it is largely absorbed by the elastic assembly of R2.
The return of the wheel S, known as the hundred wheel, can also be obtained as follows (fig. 4 and 2).
This wheel consists of a numbered crown <I> CC </I> mounted on a drum <I> T </I> in relation to which it can have a slight angular play taken up automatically, either by a spiral spring mounted in the drum, or by coil springs.
Solid with the numbered crown C C, a wheel T i is provided. with profiled teeth <I> d ,. </I> An ER return electromagnet with plunger actuates the LR lever movable around axis 2 and whose end 3, sliding on the ram pes of the teeth d, forces the wheel Tl to move back.
This electro ER is controlled, when necessary, by the contact which is established (fig. 3) between the blades m and <I> p </I> when the er got d does not fall into the notch 4 of the cam <I> C A. </I> The blade q is connected to the striking device <I> EI </I> (fig. 4) which is directly supplied when the lug d falls into the CA notch 4 (zero position of wheel R).
The blades <I> m, </I> n, <I> p </I> are integral with the stop lever (fig. 3), The device described above is a variant which replaces the cut ring b previously provided (fig. 1) and its wiper f.
The assembly 5, 6, 7, 8 (fig. 4) allows the automatic unwinding of the ink ribbon 9, thanks to the action of the lever 10 on the ratchet wheel 8.
The printing mechanism could also be placed at a distance from the seeker arm and its control motor and the movements of these two elements be transmitted to it using appropriate means, such as synchronized motors.
