Description
Spring-loaded base for mattresses and furniture upholstery. The invention relates to a resilient base for mattresses and furniture upholstery, which can be taken apart. The frame consists of an iron rods detachably joined together lower and upper part, of which the upper on the lower part is guided up and down and is cushioned against the sen.
The base is illustrated on the drawing by several exemplary embodiments.
1, 2 and 3 show the plan, elevation and side elevation of an underframe composed of iron tubes. Fig. 4 shows the fastening of the steel springs to the belts by means of fabric ribbons. Fig. 5, 6, 7 and 8 represent different bases made of flat iron.
In the first embodiment, the lower gesture part has longitudinal rods a in the shape of iron tubes, which are bent at right angles at the end. Cross bars b of the upper part are also bent at right angles at the ends. The same reach over the ends of the lower longitudinal rods, so that the upper frame part is guided up and down on the lower part.
The connecting rods c made of flat or round iron complement the longitudinal rods a screwed to them to form a frame for the lower belts g, while the hemp or wire ropes d with the transverse rods b form a frame for the upper belts g. These ropes d are passed through eyelets f of the cross bars, as are the other connecting bars e, which prevent the.
The straps g are slidably attached to the frame rods at the ends by means of tabs. On the belts fabric tapes h are also sewn to fasten the steel springs i to it, as shown in FIG.
Fig. 5 shows an embodiment in which the frame parts at the head and foot ends are supported by flat springs kg against each other. The longitudinal and transverse bars are made of flat iron; The flat springs are attached to the cross bars b by screws l.
According to Fig. 6, the cross bars b of the frame parts are connected in the middle by .eine longitudinal bar - 7n. Two iron loops are screwed to the ends of the longitudinal rod, with which they encompass the transverse rods.
According to FIGS. 7 and 8, the two frame parts are guided to one another in that slots o are attached to the ends of the rods bent against one another, in which pins p can be displaced which have nuts at the ends.
All the exemplary embodiments have the advantage over the known sub-frames that they can be easily and quickly taken apart for the purpose of moving and cleaning.
