Description

Motorfahrzeug.

Motor vehicle. The invention relates to a motor vehicle, in particular for transporting a large number of people or for transporting loads. In such vehicles, the arrangement of the engines, especially when trained as radial engines, causes some difficulties because on the one hand a deepest possible position of the floor is sought, on the other hand, the seat of the handlebar is pushed as close as possible to the front wall, so that for the Motor under the floor or next to the handlebars usually not enough space.

According to the invention, an expedient arrangement of the engine is to be created in that it is arranged on the roof of the vehicle under a cover. The motor is preferably connected to the chassis by a vertical connecting shaft. Furthermore, the vertical connecting shaft can be passed through a perpendicular right pipe that is used at the same time as a support for the motor. In the drawing, five execution examples of the subject invention are shown schematically.

Fig. 1 shows a bus, Fig. 2 a two-axle railroad car, Fig. 3 a railroad car with two bogies and Fig. 4 and 5 two different Ausfüh approximate forms of a truck or off-road vehicle. In Fig. 1, 1 means a radial engine, which is arranged on the roof of the car body 2, in the middle above the two rear drive axles 3 and 4. The connecting shaft 5 from the engine to the chassis goes, including the tube 6 surrounding it , perpendicular - through the car body 2 through. The tube 6 also serves as a support for the engine.

The engine is covered by a removable cover 7, which has a streamlined shape and is equipped with openings 8 and 8 'for the inlet and outlet of cooling air when using air-cooled engines. Of course, a correspondingly trained cooler can also be provided here for water-cooled engines.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, a radial engine 9 is arranged in the middle on the roof of the car body 10. The vertical shaft 11 also goes through a pipe 12 and drives a cardan shaft 15 respectively with the help of the bevel gears 13, 14. 15 ', which acts on one or the other or both axes 16, 17.

3 shows a larger railroad car in which two motors 19 and 20 are provided above the bogies 21, 22, which are also above the roof of the vehicle box 18. The shafts 23 and 24 in the support tubes 25 and 26 of the motors go through the pins 27 and 28 of the bogie and each drive one or both axes of the bogie.

The engine covers are in the Ausfüh approximately examples according to FIGS. 2 and 3 conceived sym metrically because railroad cars have to travel in both directions. Here too, both water-cooled and air-cooled motors can be used. Since the weight of radial engines is relatively small, the arrangement on the roof has no significant influence on the position of the vehicle's center of gravity, for the reason that the arrangement allows light that the whole vehicle can be built very deeply.

Another advantage of this arrangement is the easy accessibility of the engine after removing the engine cover. The arrangement is not only suitable for radial engines, but also for V-shaped or in-line engines; if necessary, the use of an electric motor could also come into question.

In Fig. 4, 29 also means a radial engine which is arranged on the roof of the driver compartment 30 of a truck. The shaft 31 is guided through a pipe 32 to the gearbox 33. The front wall 34 is located directly between the front wheels 35, so that the entire Füh rerabteil takes up a very small space. As a result, you gain a lot of storage space for the car body 36. 37 is a foldable base plate that is supported on the side walls of the car body 36 and can be used for handling the engine while driving, after the cover 38 is removed or used Page is folded.

In Fig. 5, the cover 39 is ausgebil det that it is supported in the folded position against the rear wall of the rPührerabteils and, if necessary, on the side walls of the car box, thereby enabling entry for handling the engine.

The arrangement of the engine above the driver's compartment can naturally also be used in vehicles of other types.
