Description
Klebstoff für Illolzarbeiten. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Klebstoff für Holzarbeiten, der kaltwasserlöslielien tie- risehen Leim mit Zusatz von Formaldehyd oder einem Polymerendesselben undStärke- mehl enthält.
Der Klebstoff ist dadurch gehennzeiell- net, dass er ausserdem ein #Sulfit enthält, wel- .ches die hä.rten-deWirl"ung,des Formaldehyds auf den Leim verzögert.
Die angegebene Art von Klebstoff weist flen Übelstand 'auf, dass der beigegebene Formaldehyd den Leim zu schnell härtet, so dass er zum Beispiel innerhalb von sechs bis zehn Stunden hart und unverwendbar wird.
Wird jedoch dem Klebstoff bei der Her stellung auch ein Sulfit beigemengt, so wird die härtende Wirkung des Formaldehyds auf den Leim verzögert, so dass nach Belieben die Verzögerung der Härtung des Leimes ,sogar auf mehrere Tage eingestellt werden kann.

Zweckmässig wird der Fürmaldehyd erst am Gebrauchoort dem Klebstoff zugesetzt.
Glue for woodwork. The invention relates to an adhesive for woodwork which contains cold water-soluble animal glue with the addition of formaldehyde or a polymer of the same and starch.
The adhesive is able to do so because it also contains a sulphite, which delays the hardening of the formaldehyde on the glue.
The specified type of adhesive has the disadvantage that the formaldehyde added hardens the glue too quickly, so that it becomes hard and unusable within six to ten hours, for example.
However, if a sulphite is added to the adhesive during manufacture, the hardening effect of the formaldehyde on the glue is delayed, so that the hardening of the glue can even be delayed for several days if desired.
