Description

Pipeline for hot gases, steam and the like. The invention relates to a pipeline for hot gases, steam and the like of at least 400 o C and at least 1 at. Overpressure, which has two coaxial, a filled interstitial space with heat insulating materials, of which the outer tube consists of non-heat-resistant metal.

In such pipelines, the inner pipe has the task of guiding the hot gas flow and protecting the heat-insulating layer between the pipes from this current, while the outer, relatively cool pipe is used to absorb the pressure tensions and thus the whole zen To give the pipeline sufficient strength.

In connection with such pipelines, it has already been ensured that the gas pressure on the outside of the inner pipe is practically the same as on the inside, so that the walls of this pipe can be made relatively thin. This is important insofar as up to now the inner tube, as soon as the medium flowing through had temperatures of over 350 ° C., has been made of heat-resistant metal and is known to be expensive. In spite of the fact that such pipes made of heat-resistant material could be made relatively thin, their purchase price was still very high, which is all the more important since pipes of the type in question are sometimes relatively long.

In order to remedy this drawback, in a pipeline of the type mentioned above, according to the present invention, the inner tube is also made of non-heat-resistant metal and there is also a heat-resistant layer on at least its inside. The purchase price of such an inner tube is only about i / io to 1 / 2o that of a metal tube made of heat-resistant metal.

Heat-insulating materials can also expediently be provided on the outside of the outer tube. The thicknesses of the inner and outer insulating layer can be related to one another in such a way that the highest temperature that the outer tube is exposed to is still just below the temperature limit at which the strength of this tube would experience a significant deterioration. With such a pipeline, it is possible to get by with an outer tube made of non-heat-resistant metal with a relatively small outer diameter, so that it can be made accordingly easy and therefore becomes even more cheap.

The fact that the diameter of the outer pipe can be chosen to be relatively small results in the further advantages that the entire pipeline is less rigid than when the entire heat-insulating layer is seen between the two coaxial pipes, and that the flanges and their loads turn out smaller.

In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the invention is illustrated, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the pipe line and Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG.

1 denotes an inner and 2 an outer tube. These tubes 1, 2 are arranged coaxially, and they limit an intermediate space which is filled with heat-insulating, heat-resistant substances 3. Hard-burned pebble stones, asbestos, glass wool and similar heat-resistant insulating materials can be used as such. If Gieselgursteine are used, they can form segment pieces in the manner shown in FIG. 2, which are then combined to form rings. On the outside of the outer tube 2, a further layer 4 made of heat-insulating material is provided.

As such, asbestos, glass, wool, aluminum foil and the like come into consideration for this second layer. The inner tube 1 consists of a non-heat-resistant metal, for example flux iron. A thin, heat-resistant layer 5 is present on its inside. Such a layer can be made of aluminum, chromium, silicon or their alloys, for example, whereby these substances can be deposited on the inner wall of the pipe by spraying, diffusion and the like. The inner pipe parts engage at their ends in the manner shown in Fig. 1 somewhat into one another, so that they can expand freely.

The arrangement is also such that on the outside of the pipe 1 there is practically the same pressure as the inside thereof. Furthermore, the ratio of the thickness e of the inner insulating layer 3 to the thickness f of the outer insulating layer 4 is such that the highest temperature to which the outer tube 2 is exposed is still just below the temperature limit from which the strength of this tube is essential Would experience deterioration. As a result, this outer tube 2 is also made of non-heat-resistant metal, e.g.

   B. from ordinary sheet steel or mild iron. Since the strength of this building material is still relatively high at the maximum temperatures to which the pipe 2 is exposed, the pipe 2 can also be made thin and therefore also relatively light, so that its purchase price is within economic limits. Since the diameter of the tube 2 is relatively small, it does not cause any operational disadvantages due to rigid training and excessive expansion.

The outer pipe 2 of the pipeline is considerably lighter than in the case where the required heat-insulating materials of the strength e + f are only attached to the inside of the outer pipe, since yes, in such a case the diameter of the outer tube is much larger. Nevertheless, the total heat loss to the outside is the same for both tube types.

In the case of the pipeline described, it is thus possible to do without any heat-resistant, expensive steels. If necessary, it can also be done on the outside of the inner tube. a thin, heat-resistant layer must be present.
