Description

B. vier Trockengleichrichtern wie Kupfer-Kupferoxydulgleichrichtern, be steht.

Rectifier arrangement: In order to compensate for the change in the voltage drop in rectifier arrangements with the load, it has already been proposed to connect a choke coil in series with the primary winding of the transformer which feeds the rectifier and to magnetize it from the rectified current. If the current drawn from the rectifier arrangement increases, the choke coil is more strongly pre-magnetized; The consequence of this is that the resistance of the choke coil becomes smaller. As a result, the voltage supplied to the rectifier increases when the line voltage is constant.

This makes it possible to reduce or reduce the voltage change which is caused by the voltage drop in the internal resistance of the rectifier (e.g. dry rectifier) itself and by the voltage drop in the transformer and in the supply lines. balance.

The invention represents an improvement of such arrangements, in which a choke coil, which is biased by the equal directional current, is connected in series with the supply transformer. According to the invention, the feed transformer is provided with an air gap. The arrangement according to the invention offers the advantage that the upstream choke coil can be made smaller, or that with the same size of the upstream choke coil, an increased change in its voltage drop with the load can be achieved.

While the transformer had to be dimensioned in such a way that it also works at the highest voltage below the knee of the 1 magnetization curve, when using the invention, one is able to design the transformer with a higher induction, i.e. to better utilize it because of the existing which air gap with increasing voltage at the transformer, the reactive current through the upstream choke coil no longer increases as much as if the measure according to the invention were not applied.

The induction and the air gap are expediently selected in such a way that in the working area the reactive current consumed increases almost linearly as the voltage on the transformer increases.

The arrangement described can be used, for example, in order to keep the voltage output by the rectifier arrangement constant, so that the rectifier arrangement serves as a replacement for batteries. But it can also be used, for example, to cause a tipping charge in backup batteries, i.e. H. a charge in which when the voltage falls below a certain value, the charging current jumps upwards, and when it reaches an upper voltage value, it jumps again to a small value. The arrangement can also be used to charge a backup battery with an almost constant voltage.

The arrangement according to the invention is particularly suitable for networks whose voltage is constant or fluctuates only within small limits. If stronger fluctuations are possible, additional arrangements can be used to compensate for them.

The upstream choke coil will preferably be made from sheet iron of high permeability. Under certain circumstances, it can also be useful to give the pre-magnetized choke coil a secondary winding that is connected in opposite directions in series with the secondary winding of the transformer, and to feed the rectifier arrangement from the series connection of these two windings.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown schematically. With the transformer 1 is designated net, which feeds the rectifier arrangement 5, which consists of four rectifiers in Graetz'scher circuit, z. B. four dry rectifiers such as copper-copper oxide rectifiers, be available. The primary winding of the transformer is in series with the choke coil 2 on the alternating current network 4. The choke coil 2 has a premagnetization winding which is excited by the rectified current. In the exemplary embodiment, the rectifier feeds a buffer battery 6.

According to the invention, the transformer I has an air gap through which the reactive current flowing through the premagnetized choke coil 2 is increased and at the same time it is achieved that the reactive current consumption of the transformer 1 from the network does not increase as much as the percentage when the voltage on the transformer 1 rises would the air gap not exist.

Two two-legged choke coils are used as the choke coil 2, the alternating or direct current windings of which are connected in opposite directions so that the alternating voltages induced on the direct current side cancel each other out: Instead of two two-legged choke coils, a three-legged choke coil can be used with its outer leg, for example carry the alternating current winding, while the direct current winding is applied to the middle leg.

In order to work in the most favorable area of the upstream choke coil, it can be given an additional, approximately constant premagnetization, which acts in the same way as the premagnetization that is dependent on the current in the same direction. For this purpose, for example, the choke coil can be given a second pre-magnetization winding which is connected to the rectified voltage.
