Description

Electric motor with housing and prismatic stator core. The padded stands of the known motors are usually constructed from circular ge stamped metal sheets, whereby a not inconsiderable waste of valuable sheet metal material cannot be avoided. If such round lamellas, as is usually the case, are held together to form a package by rivets or screw bolts, a further loss of active material must be taken into account because of the holes for these connecting means.

If the motor has a housing, its diameter is more or less larger than the outer diameter of the stator core, especially in the case of known motors with channels for a coolant. In addition, in this case the package sheets must be held in place by special aids, e.g. B. by bolts, screwed to the jacket, riveted or shrunk onto compression rings or clamps connected to rings. The last-mentioned construction in particular is difficult, time-consuming and costly and on top of that brings with it the risk of subsequent entanglement of the uprights.

If, as mentioned, rivets or screw bolts drawn through this are used to hold the pressed laminated core together, the metal sheets may align themselves with the rivet and bolt holes, and the accuracy of the stator bore suffers as a result.

There are also motors with quadra-table stator plates, in which the inactive corners of the stator package to take on the connecting bolts of the package and the end shields and .die flat flanks of the stator serve as support surfaces for the motor. Closed motors are also known, the stator of which consists of several staggered packets of essentially square metal sheets, the rounded corner parts of which support the pressing bolts against the inner surface of the cylindrical housing. These motors also have a larger size than the active stator mass and also have various of the aforementioned disadvantages.

To avoid the disadvantages and difficulties mentioned, the motor with a prismatic stator core according to the invention has a housing shell with grid-like openings and the flat surfaces of the packet Be are arranged opposite the grid bars, while its corners reach through the grid openings. The jacket can keep its cylindrical shape and is much closer to the stator package than in the known motors with square sheets, but it can also, which is particularly advantageous, be pressed tightly onto the flat sheet metal flanks, i.e. flattened at these points .

Embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawing.

Fig. 1 shows a cross section through a stand with a cylindrical sheet metal jacket, Fig. 2 partly the longitudinal section along the line AA in Fig. 1, partly side view, Fig. 3 the development of the sheet metal jacket, Fig. 4 the longitudinal section of the jacket along the line BB in Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 the cross section along the line CC in Fig. 3; Fig. 6 and 7 show a motor with prismatic abge flat sheet metal jacket, namely in cross section BEZW. partly in longitudinal section, partly in side view; 8 and 9 show a stand with a cast casing.

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the stator sheets 1 essentially have the shape of squares from which the hole serving to accommodate the runner and the winding grooves are punched out, and only relatively little material is removed from the corners, depending on how tight you want to connect the jacket 2 to the laminated core 1. This jacket is formed from a sheet metal strip so that it can be used without additional means, such as. B. shrunk-on, screwed-on or riveted profiled pressure rings, which is able to hold the pre-pressed, but not held together by rivets or bolts, immovably firmly clamped and centered.

He has namely in the corners of the sheet package corresponding distance from each other four rectangular cutouts 3 of such a size that they with their edges closely the flanks of the corners of the stand reach through them respectively. hug the forehead surfaces. The jacket 2 thus forms, as it were, a grid into which the stand is wedged. In order to make the pressure exerted by him on the laminated core on its end faces effective over a larger area, edge flanges 4 at the cutouts 3 of the sheet metal jacket 1 are bent inward in this embodiment.

The sheet metal jacket 2 can, as mentioned, be rolled cylindrically in its entire length (Fig. 1) and the, albeit small hollow spaces between the laminated core and jacket can serve as cooling channels and connect bolts for the end shields, so that the laminated core completely free of bolts; However, it is advantageous for the firm cohesion of the motor to press the jacket flat at the points where it lies opposite the flat flanks of the stator package so that it clings closely to the package 1 here, as at 20 in FIGS 7 is presented while it remains cylindrical on the end faces receiving the end shields.

The above-described construction for electric motors results in high quality motors with important advantages over the known electric motors despite the simple means used, which enable cheap mass production. The fact that the stator plates are exposed in the jacket cut-outs up to the outer jacket surface with which they are cut flush and are therefore accessible to the outside air over a large area, one achieves excellent cooling and the same performance despite a tight seal on the inside of the motor like with a more extensive engine.

By cramping the stator sheets in the shell cut-outs (grid mesh), the laminated core is held together firmly without special press rings, clamps, rivets or screws. In particular, if the jacket is pressed flat and tight against the flat flanks of the laminated core, the centering is safe and a subsequent radial displacement of the sheets relative to one another is excluded; because like the centering mandrel in the stator bore, these surfaces produce fitting surfaces that can be held very precisely.

Finally, the construction described is particularly suitable for single-phase induction motors with main and auxiliary phase winding.

It should also be mentioned that the sheet metal jacket can be rolled around the laminated core standing in the press and then welded together at its abutting edges or from two parts placed around the laminated core and then welded, screwed or riveted together. However, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, it can also be made by casting, in particular injection molding. In addition to the grid 12, the feet 13 can thus be produced at the same time. The attachment of feet is of course also made much easier for motors with a sheet metal jacket due to the flat side surfaces on the stator package and the jacket. .
