Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Küpenfarbstoffes    der     4,6,9,10-Dibenzopyren-,          3,8-chinonreihe.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen wert  vollen     güpenfarbstoff    erhält, wenn man 5',       6'-Phthaloyl-2-oxy-4,    5,     9,10-dib        enzopyren-3,        8-          uhinon    mit einem     methylierenden    Mittel be  handelt.  



  Die als     Ausgangsstoff    dienende     Ogyver-          bindung    kann nach dem Verfahren des  Schweizer Patentes     Nr.200067    hergestellt  werden. Als     methylierendes    Mittel kommen  z. B.     Dimethylsulfat    und die     Methylester    der  Schwefelsäure und von     Sulfonsäuren    in Be  tracht.  



  Der neue     güpenfarbstoff    liefert auf Baum  wolle Färbungen und Drucke in leuchtend  orangen Tönen von guten Echtheitseigen  schaften.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  10 Teile     5',6'-Phthaloyl-2-ogy-4,5,9,10-          dibenzopyren-3,8-chinon    werden mit 20 Teilen       Dimethylsulfat    innig vermengt. Das Ge  menge wird im Verlaufe von 2 Stunden an  teilsweise in ein siedendes Gemisch von 250    Teilen     Trichlorbenzol    und 15 Teilen Kalium  carbonat eingetragen. Man hält das Gemisch  einige Stunden lang im Sieden, bis kein  unveränderter     Ausgangsstoff    mehr nachweis  bar ist. Dann lässt man erkalten, filtriert ab  und befreit den Rückstand in der üblichen  Weise vom anhaftenden Lösungsmittel.

   Der  so erhaltene     Methyläther    kann durch Um  kristallisieren aus Nitrobenzol gereinigt wer  den, aus dem er in Form langer, orangefarbiger,  in Schwefelsäure karminrot löslicher Nadeln  erhalten wird. Er färbt aus karminroter     güpe     Baumwolle in leuchtend orangen Tönen von  vorzüglichen Echtheitseigenschaften.  



  Dieselbe Verbindung wird erhalten, wenn  man an Stelle von     Dimethylsulfat        p-Toluol-          sulfonsätire-methylester    verwendet.

  <I> Example: </I> 10 parts of 5 ', 6'-phthaloyl-2-ogy-4,5,9,10-dibenzopyrene-3,8-quinone are intimately mixed with 20 parts of dimethyl sulfate.    The methyl ether obtained in this way can be purified by recrystallizing from nitrobenzene, from which it is obtained in the form of long, orange-colored needles soluble in carmine red in sulfuric acid. It dyes carmine-red güpe cotton in bright orange tones with excellent fastness properties.



  The same compound is obtained if p-toluenesulfonate methyl ester is used instead of dimethyl sulfate.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen güpenfarbstoffes der 4,5,9,10-Dibenzopyren- 3,8-chinonreihe, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 5',6'-Yhthaloyl-2-ogy-4,5,9,10-dibenzo- pyren-3,8-chinon mit einem methylierenden Mittel behandelt. Er bildet eine karminrote Küpe und liefert auf Baumwolle Färbungen und Drucke in leuchtend orangen Tönen von guten Echt heitseigenschaften.
