Brevet additionnel subordonné au brevet principal no 190850.
la fig. 2 est un plan partiellement -coupé du jeu, couvercle et -paroi mitoyenne enlevés; la, fig. 3 est une vue de face, la fig. 4 une coupe transversale selon la ligne IV-IV dé la fig. l; la fig. 5 est une coupe partielle longitu dinale selon la ligne V -V de la fig. 2;
Additional patent subject to main patent no. 190850. Shooting game with bullets projected by a spring pistol. In the main patent (inventor Georges Ernest Duboule) is described a shooting game with bullets projected by a spring pistol against a target pierced with a certain number of holes marked for different values, this game being characterized in that this target is enclosed in a glass box,
the holes being combined with ducts which bring the ball which has passed one of the holes on a support frame carried by a balanced lever so that the lowering of the frame under the weight of the ball sends the latter into a channel evacuation, while the lowering of the lever will release a drawer from which the player will be able to withdraw a control ball corresponding to the respective value marked on the touched hole of the target.
The object of the present invention is a game according to the claim of the main patent, characterized by a locking device which, actuated by the introduction of a token and the consequent force of a pusher, releases @ automatically and jointly a lifting device for the loading of the pistol and the locking mechanism of the balanced levers and automatically and integrally blocks these two mechanisms when the shot has been fired and its result checked.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the game; .
fig. 2 is a partially-cut plan of the game, cover and dividing wall removed; 1a, fig. 3 is a front view, FIG. 4 a cross section along the line IV-IV of FIG. l; fig. 5 is a partial longitudinal section along the line V -V of FIG. 2;
fig. 6 is a cross section seen from the right along the line VI-VI of FIG. 1, FIG. 7 a transverse section seen from the right along line VII-VII of FIG. 1, FIG. 8 a partial longitudinal section showing the main store of the control balls, and FIG. 9 shows, on a larger scale, the coin mechanism.
According to the drawing, the game is placed in a box 1 provided with a glass cover 2 and locked with a key 3. The box is internally divided by the party floor 4 inclined towards the lower right corner of the target 5 in one. upper chamber forming the shooting space and a lower chamber containing the game mechanism. The hole 6 made in the lower right corner of the target collects the ball which missed the goal. This has three holes 7 each marked with a different value.
Behind the holes 6 and 7 are arranged wells 8 in which can slide frames 9 resting on one of the ends of balanced levers 10, pivoted in 11. In their equilibrium position, the levers hold the frames 9 so to close the wells 8. As soon as a ball has passed one of the holes 6 or 7 and entered the corresponding well, it falls on the frame 9 and its weight switches the lever 10. The ball can then escape well and by an inclined surface 12 and an evacuation channel 13 it will be placed at the foot of the lifting device responsible for reloading the gun.
On the left side of the box is the so-called coin mechanism. It comprises a pusher 15 retained by the spring 16 and the straight end 17 of which extends until it touches the enlarged end of the lever arm 70 '; according to fig. 6, a slot 19 provided above the pusher makes it possible to introduce a token or a coin into the coin holder. In the example described, the slot has a profile with two curvatures for the introduction of tokens with a corresponding profile. This chip 26 slides through a channel 20 between a latch 21 fixed on the rod of the pusher and a pawl 22 articulated on this rod and maintained by a res out 23 in contact with a fixed tooth 24.
Without token, the pusher can only push back until the moment when a projection 25 of the pawl 22 catches on the tooth 24, displacement insufficient to drive the lever arm 70, displacement also insufficient to drive the spring 72 acting on the lever arm 73, the function of which is described below.
But when the pusher is pushed back after having introduced a token 26 into the slot 19, this token strikes against a stop 27 and turns the pawl 22 downwards to make it pass under the tooth 24, after which it falls into a box 71 (fig. 5). At the same time, the end 17 of the pusher which has been able to move further forward automatically and integrally drives the spring 72 acting on the lever arm 73 and the lever arm 70 'which it pushes back.
The spring 72 pulling on the lever arm 73 pivoted at 74 determines the sudden projection of the lever arm 75 upwards. The end of this lever arm 75 is inserted into the slot 76 of the lifting tube 77 and carries a circular plate 78 on which the ball coming from play has come to be placed at the outlet of the channel 13 opposite which the or opening 79 of the riser tube. The bare bullet supported by the plate 7 8 rises in the lifting tube at the top of which it escapes through the opening 80 to go to lodge in the barrel of the pistol 33 whose muzzle is opposite when the pistol is in the air. rest.
According to the fi-. 5 and 7, the spring pistol 33 is pivoted on a rod 34 guided in a tube 35 and supported by the lever 36 pivoted by 37 carrying the button 38 on the front of the. box. The gun mount is guided in the slot 39. The aiming is done directly by the front sight 40 ù. through the window 81 placed on the front of the box above the slot 39.
In its rest position 43 which is that of loading, the pistol is below the adjoining floor 4 and the muzzle of its barrel is placed opposite the opening 80 of the lifting tube 77 through which the bullet, always the same. , is brought back to the pistol after firing. By pressing the button 38 of the lever 36, the pistol 33 is raised to its firing position 43 '(dotted in fig. 5). At the same time, the lever 36 drives another lever 82 which is integral with it and which acts on the lever 83, carrying a shutter 84 serving to hide the slot 39 above the pistol when the latter is in position. its resting position.
The coin mechanism pusher therefore determines with the help of a token the loading of the pisto let. At the same time, its end 17 re pushes the arm 70 'of the lever 70 pivoted at 85, the other arm 70 "of which lowers the finger 86 of the fork 87 articulated at 88. The fork 87 is connected by the rod 89 to the tilting bridge 90 which, pivoted at 91 and held by the spring 92, carries four flat spells 93 which support the balanced levers 10 and maintain, through the intermediary, the frames 9 applied against the opening of the wells 8.
The drawer 47 carries a finger 47 'which, pressing on the fork 87, causes it to tilt back when, after firing, the drawer is acted on to remove the control ball therefrom; this movement simultaneously determines the locking of the levers 10 balanced by the spells 93. This device is unlocked when the push-button 15 is acted again by inserting a token into the coin mechanism.
Fig. 8 shows the main store of control balls 53 corresponding to the misses whose ball passes through the hole 6. It is a large flat container fixed along the outer wall of. the firing chamber. The control balls 53 open into the distributor drawer 47 through the funnel 56. A curved spring 94 raised by the lever 95 secured by the spring 96 of the drawer 47 is used, when the latter is pulled after firing, to discharge a ball. control 53 in the funnel 56 by preventing the balls from blocking the entry.
A funnel-shaped receptacle 97 is placed below the opening 80 of the elevator tube 77 to collect the bullet if, by accident, it should miss the barrel of the pistol let during loading and return it by. tube 98 to return tube 13.
