Pupitre scolaire.
School desk. The present invention relates to a school desk according to the claim of the main patent, that is to say comprising at least one plate, in at least one part, articulated by hinges with the upper part of the desk and resting on at least a support of variable inclination arranged in its width, carriers of the tray and a seat that can be lifted against part of the desk, independently adjustable to different heights on a rigid frame, at the bottom of the frame at least one longitudinal support bar for the schoolboy's feet, at each foot of the frame a removable terminal shoe, a backrest attached to the upper part of the desk which carries the tray, and a locker suspended from side rails of the tray carrier.
According to this invention, the table top comprises at least two flaps, one of which is articulated with the other by means of at least one hinge comprising at least two branches, one of which abuts against the other in two positions. 'extreme stop, one being that for which the shutters are in the extension of one another, and the other for which one of the shutters is inclined on the other, at least one of the branches of the hinge being fixed to the lateral edge of the corresponding vo let.
The drawing partially represents, by way of example and in perspective, two embodiments of the console according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a hinge of the first embodiment, and FIG. 2 a hinge of the second embodiment.
In the first embodiment, the plate comprises the flaps 4 and 5 articulated with one another by means of hinges, one of which is shown in FIG. 1; 1 and 2 are the two branches of this hinge, one of which, 1, is fixed by screws through holes 3 on the side edge of the shutter 5 and the other 2 of which is attached to the side edge of the shutter 4. The two branches' are articulated with each other by the pin 6. In the position shown, for which the flaps are in the extension of one another, the branch 1 abuts at 7 against a part of the branch 2 so that the two branches are kept aligned in this position.
When the flap 5 is raised, part of the branch 1 abuts against the inclined bottom 8 of a notch in the branch 2 in which the end of the branch 1 is engaged so as to limit the raising movement.
In the second form, the tray com takes three flaps, two of which 13 and 14 are arranged side by side and articulated with the third 15 by means of hinges, the median of which is shown in FIG. 2. This hinge comprises two branches 9 and 10 fixed to the adjacent side edges of the flaps 13 and 14 and articulated by means of a pin 12 with a common branch 11 fixed to the flap 15. When the flaps 13 and 14 are in the extension of the shutter 15 the branches 9 and 10 abut against a melle 11 'of the branch 11 in order to maintain the shutters in this position. The branch 11 has two inclined shoulders 17 and 18 serving as a stopper for the branches 9 and 10 when the flaps 13 and 14 are raised.
The sole 11 'forms with the rest of the branch 11 a clamp enclosing the flap 15 and maintaining the flaps 13 and 14 at a sufficient distance so that one cannot pinch your fingers between these flaps 13 and 14. The flaps 13 and 14 could form only one. In this case, the charmer of fig. 2 would be the middle hinge and one would fix at the ends of the shutters of the hinges like those of fig. 1.
