Description

Self-winding elongated watch movement. The invention relates to a watch movement @de elongated shape, for example barrel-shaped, with automatic winding and having an oscillating mass around the center of oscillation of a drive wheel, this center being located in plane on the minor axis of symmetry of the movement.

According to the invention, said center of oscillation is situated closer to the middle of the movement than to the edge thereof, preferably above the location of the re-mount rod, the radius of gyration of the mass being practically equal to half of the major axis of symmetry of the movement.

The appended drawing shows, by way of example, a plan view, an embodiment of the object of the invention.

The watch movement shown is barrel-shaped with X-X denoting the major axis of symmetry, and Y-Y the minor axis of symmetry.

The winding mass 1 is rotated in 2 on the small axis of symmetry YY, closer to the middle 4 of the movement than to the edge thereof, above the location of the winding stem 3 which coincides with the ' small axis of symmetry YY.

The mass 1 oscillates concentrically around a winding wheel 5 which it drags by means of a. impulse pawl 6 mounted on the mass with its return spring 7.

The wheel 5, located above the location of the winding stem 5, drives the barrel ratchet 8 ', by means of a gear train comprising a wheel 9 and its pinion 10, and a wheel 11 and its pinion 12. The barrel 8 drives the pinion 13 of the escape wheel 14, by means of three moving wheels comprising the pin 15 and the large wheel 16, the pinion 17 and the wheel 18 of small medium, the pinion 19 and the field wheel 20, the latter meshing with the exhaust pinion 13.

In the return wheel 9 is engaged, by the action of a return spring 22, a retaining pawl 23. The mass 1 oscillates in a groove 21 of the frame of the movement. The location of the center of oscillation of mass 1 enables the movement to be endowed with a winding mass having a relatively large radius of gyration and amplitude, compared to the dimensions of the watch movement, the radius of gyration of the watch movement. mass being practically equal to, half of the major axis of symmetry XX of the movement.
