Diebstahlsicherungseinrichtung an Fahrrädern.
Anti-theft device on bicycles. Known bicycle locks and in particular so-called spoke locks for theft protection have the disadvantage that they cannot be attached sufficiently firmly to the bicycle frame, with the result that such a lock even in the closed position with the aid of simple tools such as levers or the like can be turned off or removed, freeing the blocked wheel.
The subject of the present invention is an anti-theft device on bicycles, which is characterized in that a locking plate is fixed to the upper end of the Vorradgabel- guide tube of the bicycle frame, to which a second locking plate located above this, fixed to the Vorradgabelrohr, for the purpose of blocking the front wheel fork rotation can be connected by means of a lock.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section, Fig. 2 and 3 each a cross section along the lines II-II and III-III of Fig. 1, Fig. 4 shows a section through a lock, schematically, Fig. 5 is a plan view of the lock base plate, schematically.
1 with the front fork guide tube of a bicycle frame 2 is designated, the upper end of which is equipped with claws 3. On said upper end, the locking plate 4 is inserted, which is provided with the claws 3 corresponding recesses 4 ', so that a rotational movement between guide tube 1 and locking plate 4 can not take place. The annular Sperrplat tenobteile is formed out as a ball bearing ring 5 on which the ball ring fi rests. The locking plate has bores or punched holes 7 which are intended for the locking pins of a lock to pass through. The front wheel fork generally used today has a fork tube 8, the upper part of which is provided with a thread 9 on the outer shell.
In this jacket part provided with thread 9, longitudinal grooves 10 are milled. The equipped with internal thread control cone 11 sits on the thread 9 and bil det the upper ball bearing ring, by means of wel chem the Vorradgabel in the guide tube 1 is secured against longitudinal movements. The bore of the upper locking plate 12 has teeth 13 corresponding to the longitudinal grooves 10. The locking plate 12 rests on the control cone 11 or optionally a lock nut (not shown in the drawing) and cannot rotate relative to the front wheel fork due to the engagement of its teeth 13 in the longitudinal grooves 10. Analogously to the lower blocking plate 4, the blocking plate 12 is also provided with bores or punched holes 14. The upper locking plate 12 is held on the fork tube 8 by means of the cover ring 15.
The cover ring 15 has an internal thread so that it can be screwed onto the thread 9 of the fork tube 8. With the cover ring, a good closure can be achieved against the handlebar 16, so that water and dust cannot get into the interior of the steering and control elements.
The locking of the steering members takes place in such a way that the holes 7 and 14 of the two locking plates are brought approximately one above the other, whereupon the locking pin or pins of a lock are pushed through and locked. Driving with the steering locked is impossible. So that a bicycle cannot be pushed either, the assembly of the upper locking plate with parallel front and rear wheels has to be done in such a way that it forms an angle of, for example, <B> 300, </B> 450 with the lower locking plate 4 , <B> 60 "</B> in the sense of the direction of rotation, which is easily possible if the pitch of the longitudinal grooves and teeth is correspondingly uniform.
To lock the steering, the two locking plates lie one above the other, which position now necessarily corresponds to an angular position of the front wheel with respect to the bicycle frame. A particularly suitable lock for the steering lock is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 schematically. Essentially, this lock consists of a base plate 18, a top plate 19 and a cover 20, which three parts are connected to one another by a hinge 21. Both the base plate 18 and the top plate 19 are offset from one another, in the Boh ments 14, 7, the locking plates 12, 4 fit the locking pin 22 equipped. The base plate 18 also has a striker 23, in which, in the closed position, a bolt 24 arranged on the top plate 19 engages.
The latter can be actuated through a key opening 25 provided in the top plate 19 by means of an associated key. So that the lock cannot be broken open in the closed position by means of breaking tools, the top plate 19 is provided with lateral cover strips which cover the edges of the base plate 18 in the closed position. The cover 20, which is also provided with cover strips, comes to lie flat on the top plate 19 in the closed position and thereby protects the lock from the effects of the weather.
To block the steering, the lock with the base and top plate spread over the locking plates and then pressed together so that the locking pin 22 penetrate the holes 7, 14, whereupon the lock can be locked.
In the context of the present inven tion should be expressly included those embodiments in which the locking plates 4 and 12 in other than that shown in the exemplary embodiment on the guide tube 1 respectively. are attached to the fork tube 8, for example by means of welding, screw thread or the like. One of the two locking plates could also be combined with a lantern holder.
A bicycle secured against theft with the described and signed device cannot be unlocked without a significant damage to bicycle parts without a key. Even if the cover ring 15 is unscrewed, the locking plate 12 cannot be lifted off as long as it is connected to the lower locking plate 4 by a lock. The device can be run as a structural unit with the bicycle and is mainly made of Me tall, with certain parts before geous light metal alloys for use, in which case the weight gain caused by the device is very low.
As gewichtsver more than the known Ausfüh ments of control and steering organs act only the two locking plates or parts thereof, because ball bearings and cover ring have already been used. From this it is evident that the assembly and disassembly of these organs is just as simple as it has been up to now. The additional costs of the bicycle components resulting from the establishment are low.
