  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen     1Vlonoazofarbstofies.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatz  patentes ist ein Verfahren zur     Herstellung     eines wasserlöslichen     Monoazofarbstoffes,     welches dadurch     gekennzeichnet    ist, dass man       diazotiertes        1-Amino-4-methoxybenzol    in al  kalischem Medium mit     2-Sulfomethylamino-          7-oxynaphthalin    kuppelt.  



       Beispiel:     107 Gewichtsteile     1-Amino-4-methoxy-          benzol    werden wie üblich     diazotiert    und in  Gegenwart von überschüssigem     Natrium-          carbonat    mit einer     wässrigen    Lösung von 239  Gewichtsteilen     2-Sulfomethylamino-7-oxy-          naphthalin    unter Kühlung vereinigt. Der  erhaltene Farbstoff wird     ausgesalzen    und ge  trocknet.  



  Er stellt ein dunkelbraunes Pulver dar,  das sich in Wasser mit roter     Farbe    löst     und       Wolle unter Kochtemperatur aus saufern  Bade in braunroten Tönen gleichmässig  durchfärbt.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasser löslichen Monoazofarbstoffes, dadurch ge kennzeichnet, dass man diazotiertes 1-Amino- 4-methoxybenzol in alkalischem Medium mit 2 - Sulfomethylamino - 7 - ogynaphthalin kuppelt. Claim: Process for the preparation of a water-soluble monoazo dye, characterized in that diazotized 1-amino-4-methoxybenzene is coupled in an alkaline medium with 2-sulfomethylamino-7-ogynaphthalene.
