  Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 198713.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     chromierbaren        Farbstoffes    der     Triarylmethanreihe.       Gegenstand dieses     Zusatzpatentes    ist     ein     Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     chromier-          baren    Farbstoffes der     Triarylmethanreihe,     welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man       (4'-o-Xylidino-        2'-oxy)        -1-benzoyl-o-oxycarb-          oxy-2-benzoesäure,

      die durch Kondensation  von     o-Xylidino-m-phenol    mit 5-Oxytrimellit-         säureanhydrid    bei     120-130'    C erhältlich  ist, mit     Pyrogallol    kondensiert.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  42 Gewichtsteile     (4'-o-Xylidino-2'-oxy)-1-          benzoyl-o-oxycarboxy-2-benzoesäure    von der  Formel:

Durch     Nach-          ehromieren    entsteht ein Braun mit guten  Echtheitseigenschaften.
