Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen -Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn man Laurinsäure-N-methylolamid in Gegen wart einer Säure mit Thioglykolsäure um setzt.
Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in Gegenwart eines Lösungsmittels, wie Eis essig, Dioxan, vorgenommen. Als Säure kann beispielsweise Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Essig säure, Anwendung finden.
Das neue Kondensationsprodukt stellt in Form des Natriumsalzes ein farbloses Pulver dar, das von warmem Wasser zu einer beim Schütteln stark schäumenden Lösung aufge nommen wird. Es kann als Textilhilfsstoff verwendet werden.
Beispiel: Man erwärmt 11 Grewichtsteile Laurin- säure-N-methylolamid, 7 Gewichtsteile Thio- glykolsäure und 100 Gewichtsteile Eisessig auf 400, wobei eine klare Lösung erhalten wird. Beim Erkalten fällt das Kondensations produkt, dem aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach die Formel

Das durch Neutralisieren mit Natriumhydroxydlösung erhältliche Natrium salz des neuen Kondensationsproduktes stellt nach dem Trocknen ein farbloses Pulver dar, das von Wasser zu einer klaren, beim Schüt teln stark schäumenden Lösung aufgenommen wird.

The reaction is expediently carried out in the presence of a solvent such as glacial acetic acid or dioxane. Hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, for example, can be used as the acid.
The new condensation product is a colorless powder in the form of the sodium salt, which is taken up by warm water to form a strongly foaming solution when shaken. It can be used as a textile auxiliary.
Example: 11 parts by weight of lauric acid-N-methylolamide, 7 parts by weight of thioglycolic acid and 100 parts by weight of glacial acetic acid are heated to 400, a clear solution being obtained. When cooling down, the condensation product falls, which in all probability is the formula

The sodium salt of the new condensation product, which can be obtained by neutralizing with sodium hydroxide solution, is a colorless powder after drying, which is absorbed by water to form a clear solution which foams strongly when shaken.
