Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Pressmassen. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Press- massen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Kon densationsprodukte aus Aminotriazinen, Al koholgruppen enthaltenden Verbindungen und Aldehyden verwendet werden.
Die genannten Kondensationsprodukte eignen sich dank ihrer vorzüglichen Här- tungseigenschaften, ihrer Farblosigkeit und Geruchlosigkeit als Bindemittel bei der Her stellung von Pressmassen.
Die ]Reaktion zwischen den Aminotriazi- nen, den Alkoholgruppen enthaltenden Ver bindungen und den Aldehyden kann in einer oder mehreren Stufen erfolgen. So kann man zum Beispiel zwei der genannten Kompo nenten zunächst für sich und erst dann mit der dritten Komponente kondensieren.
Als besonders geeignet haben sich die Kondensationsprodukte aus Formaldehyd, 2. 4. 6-Triamino-1 . 3.5-triazin und Alkoho len erwiesen. Es können aber auch andere Aldehyde, wie Acetaldehyd, Benzaldehyd oder andere Aminotriazine wie 2 . 4-Amino- 1.3.5-triazin (Formoguanamin), 2.4-Amino- 6 - phenylamino -1 . 3 . 5 - triazin verwendet werden.
Unter den Alkoholgruppen enthal tenden Verbindungen kommen insbesondere die niederen aliphatischen Alkohole, sowie die Gruppe der Kohlenhydrate in Frage, wo bei die letzteren, infolge ihrer leichten Zu gänglichkeit in der Natur, besonders vorteil haft sind.
Neben den Kondensationsprodukten aus Aminotriazinen, Alkoholgruppen enthalten den Verbindungen und Aldehyden können bei der Herstellung von Presslingen oder la minierten Produkten auch andere Bindemit tel wie zum Beispiel Carbamid- oder Phenol harze mitverwendet werden.
Beispiel <I>1:</I> 126 Teile Melamin (1 1blol) werden in 200 Teile 30%iger neutraler Formaldehyd lösung (2 Mol) im siedenden Wasserbad ge löst und dort so lange belassen, bis eine ge- kühlte Probe mit der gleichen Menge Wasser versetzt sofort eine Harzfällung gibt. Hier auf werden 70 Teile Wasser im Vakuum abdestilliert.
Zur Herstellung einer Pressmasse wird das so gewonnene Produkt zusammen mit 55 Teilen Glyzerin, 110 Teilen Holzmehl und einem farbgebenden Stoff gemischt. und auf heissen Walzen geknetet bis ein Fell entsteht. Letzteres wird zerkleinert.
Die erhaltene Pressmasse liefert, in der ;Heisspresse beispielsweise bei 145' während 3 Minuten r.gepresst, gute, harte Presslinge, die.nach ?4stündigem Liegen im kalten Was ser 1 % und 10 Minuten in siedendem Was ser gekocht C5 <B>%,-</B>an Gewicht zunehmen.
<I>Beispiel 2:</I> 25? Teile 31elamin (2 31o1), 40(1 Teile technische 30 % ige Formaldehydlösung (1 141o1), 370 Teile Bohrzucker werden auf dem Wasserbad 1 Stunde erhitzt. Eine Probe gibt mit Wasser verdünnt eine Harzfällung. Zwecks Herstellung einer Pressmasse wird hierauf die Kondensationslösung mit \?70 Teilen Zellulose geknetet, getrocknet und gemahlen.
Wird die so erhaltene Pressmasse bei spielsweise ? Minuten bei 175 gepresst, so entstehen wasserbeständige Presslinge von guten mechanischen Eigenschaften.

In addition to the condensation products of aminotriazines, the compounds containing alcohol groups and aldehydes, other binders such as carbamide or phenolic resins can also be used in the production of pellets or laminated products.
