Beleuchtungseinrichtung an Fahrrädern.
Lighting device on bicycles. There are lighting devices on bicycles are known in which the loading fastening sleeve for the bicycle handlebar is designed to form a lamp housing. Such devices, however, generally have the defect that the lamp housing is brought into a certain fixed position by the assembly of the bicycle handlebar, mf the steerer tube, which usually does not correspond to the position for the most favorable street lighting.
Since the angle between the axis of the steerer tube and the vertical varies within certain limits on the various types of bicycles, it is easy to see that the problem of setting the lamp housing to the correct lighting position on the bicycle poses all sorts of difficulties connected is.
The present invention now also relates to a lighting device on bicycles, but moves completely away from the idea of forming the fastening sleeve for the bicycle handlebar to form a lamp housing for the reasons mentioned above. In the subject matter of the invention, a piece of the lamp housing itself is provided, the rear part of which has one of the rounding of the mounting sleeve adapted th seat, by means of which the lamp housing is angularly adjustable about the axis of the mounting sleeve attached to the latter.
This makes it possible to adjust the lamp housing without great effort in the most suitable position for the most favorable street lighting and to secure it in this position.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a partial vertical section through the lighting device; FIG. 2 is a top view of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a section along the line III-III in FIG. 1.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, a is the fastening sleeve customary in bicycles, by means of which the handlebar b with the aid of a shaft bolt c is fastened in a manner known per se on the upper end of the fork shaft tube (l. E is a a piece of the lamp housing that forms for itself, the rear part of which is provided with a seat f adapted to the curvature of the socket a . The lamp housing e with this seat rests on the socket a and is attached to the latter by means of a slot and bolt device.
This device has a fixed in the wall of the sleeve a. screwed in, forward through a slot f 1 (Fig. 3) in the seat f extending through a slot in a vertical plane, on the screw bolt g with the interposition of a washer piece 1a a mother i. is unscrewed. By tightening this nut i, the lamp housing e, which can be angularly adjusted around the axis of the sleeve a thanks to the slot and bolt device, is secured in the most suitable position for the most favorable street lighting.
