Description
Manufacturing process of combustible briquettes. The present invention relates to a process @de manufacture of combustible briquettes composed of a mixture of peat, a mineral coal: anthracite or coal, and a pitch: tar, bitumen, etc.
According to this manufacturing process, peat is ground, dried until its water content is between 8 and 10%, into grains whose dimensions do not exceed 4 mm, and mixed with a ground mineral coal. in advance in grains of dimensions not exceeding 4 mm; this mixture is then heated to a temperature of 80 to 120 ° C. and to it is added, while it is hot, a hot pitch with the addition of solid combustible particles, and, finally, the combustible briquettes are formed by compression.
The proportions expressed as% of the constituents used for the manufacture of the fuel briquettes can vary and are preferably between the following values: Peat: 88-60%, mineral coal: 7-15%, pitch with said particles : 10-25%. Here is an example of the production of fuel briquettes according to the described process: The peat is dried, until its water content decreases to 8%. 10%, then it is ground into grains of 4 mm maximum.
It is then mixed with an thracite also ground into grains of the same dimensions and this mixture is heated to a temperature of 80 to 120 C. A hot pitch is then added to this mixture of peat and anthracite. , to which a little peat charcoal powder has been added and this mixture is continued to be stirred while the constituents are hot. Finally, by compressing the paste obtained, the combustible briquettes are formed.
It is also possible to use, in addition to the hot pitch, charcoal powder, charcoal dust or even sawdust.
