Description
Permanent magnet body. It is known that short permanent magnets made of precipitation hardening permanent magnet alloys have a strong scatter between their magnetic poles, which reduces the performance of the magnets. In order to avoid this, according to the invention, such a permanent magnet body has several parts made of permanent magnet material, which are connected to one another by another ferromagnetic material. In this way, the magnetic poles can be further removed from each other without additional expenditure on permanent magnet material and thereby the scatter between the magnetic poles is significantly reduced compared to a magnet cast in one piece.
Furthermore, complicated magnet shapes can be produced from precipitation hardening permanent magnet parts which have significantly higher magnetic properties in the direction of magnetization than in the direction perpendicular to it. Such so-called directional magnets, which are particularly strongly magnetic in a preferred direction, can be obtained by a special magnetization process. The use of such magnetic pieces has already been proposed elsewhere, complicated magnet shapes, such. B. Stern magnets, but could not yet be made from them.
In Figs. 1 to 4 of the accompanying drawing, embodiments of the invention are shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows a two-pole permanent magnet body in section perpendicular to the axis of rotation, Fig. 2 is a four-pole circulating magnet body in section perpendicular to the axis of rotation, Fig. ä a six-pole star magnet body in section perpendicular to the axis of rotation and FIG. 4 the same magnet body in section along the line 4-4 in FIG.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a are two permanent magnet pieces which are connected to one another with good magnetic conductivity by a steel piece b. The steel piece b is used to enlarge the distance between the poles of the magnet pieces a connected to the pole pieces c and thereby to reduce the large scatter between the pole pieces that occurs with a small pole distance. The magnet pieces a, the steel piece b and the pole shoes c are held together by a non-magnetizable substance d cast around them, for example aluminum, and are firmly pressed together by the shrinkage stresses that occur when the casting compound d cools.
The rotating magnet body shown in Fig. 2 has pole pieces e and four permanent magnet pieces f, each of which has much higher magnetic properties in the direction of magnetization than in the direction perpendicular thereto. Such magnetic pieces are briefly referred to below as direction magnets. The directional magnets f are connected to each other in a magnetically conductive manner through the shaft g of the magnetic body in order. The magnet pieces f, the pole pieces e and the shaft g are shaped in such a way that the magnets f on the shaft g and the pole pieces e on the magnet f fit snugly and, under the effect of the non-magnetizable ones, which are also used in this case when cooling down Encapsulated materials have shrinkage stresses that occur tightly against one another.
Similar to the four-pole rotating magnet body according to FIG. 2, the six-pole star magnet body according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is built up. It contains six pole shoes i, six direction magnets k and a shaft 1 that connects them magnetically. These parts are pressed firmly against one another by the shrinkage stresses that occur when the aluminum m cast around them cools. Due to the aluminum, which does not conduct magnetically, but is very electrically conductive, each of the rays k of the star is completely enclosed on all lateral boundary surfaces with the exception of the end faces against which the pole pieces i rest. This effectively prevents the magnets from weakening.
