Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 215148. Terfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen basischen Farbstoffes. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasser löslichen basischen Farbstoffes. Das Ver fahren besteht darin, dass man 1-Methyl-2- phenylindol-3-aldehyd mit 5-Brom-1,3,3-tri- methyl-2-methylenindolin umsetzt.
Der Farbstoff stellt ein gut kristallisier tes Pulver dar, das sich in Wasser und Al kohol gut löst und tannierte Baumwolle und Acetatseide in orangen Tönen färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 11,8 Gewichtsteile 1-Methyl-2-phenyl- indol-3-aldehyd und 12,6 Gewichtsteile 5 Brom-1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methylenindolin wer den in Eisessig gelöst und einige Stunden auf<B>100'</B> erhitzt. Man giesst die Lösung in Wasser und salzt aus. Das so erhaltene Roh produkt wird erneut in heissem Wasser ge löst, von unlöslichen harzigen Bestandteilen abgetrennt und ausgesalzen. Man erhält den Farbstoff schön kristallinisch. Er ist in Was ser und Alkohol gut löslich. Tannierte Baum wolle und Acetatseide färbt er in orangen Tönen an.
Das Umsetzungsprodukt mit Phos- phor-Wolfram-Molybdänsäure liefert einen besonders klaren, licht- und spritechten Farb- lack.

The process consists in reacting 1-methyl-2-phenylindole-3-aldehyde with 5-bromo-1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methyleneindoline.
The dye is a well-crystallized powder that dissolves well in water and alcohol and dyes tannic cotton and acetate silk in orange tones.
<I> Example: </I> 11.8 parts by weight of 1-methyl-2-phenyl-indole-3-aldehyde and 12.6 parts by weight of 5-bromo-1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methylene-indoline are dissolved in glacial acetic acid and heated to <B> 100 '</B> for a few hours. The solution is poured into water and salted out. The raw product thus obtained is redissolved in hot water, separated from insoluble resinous components and salted out. The dye is obtained in a nicely crystalline form. It is easily soluble in water and alcohol. He dyes tannic cotton and acetate silk in orange tones.
The reaction product with phosphorus-tungsten-molybdic acid provides a particularly clear, lightfast and spritable colored lacquer.
