Machine for electric welding of sections of wire to a plate. The object of the invention is a machine for the electric welding of sections of wire to a plate, for example -from feet to ca drans ide watches, characterized by an electrode -whose body has an axial bore, a clamping block being introduced into this bore from one of its ends, while a copper clamp holder is introduced into said bore from the other end,
said clamp holder also having an axial bore into which is introduced a copper clamp whose end located inside the body of the electrode is threaded and is screwed into a thread presented by the end of the clamping cleat located inside the body of the electrode, the clamping block and the clamp each having an axial bore, these bore being in the extension of one another, this electrode making it possible to use either a wire ,
introduced by the outer end of the clamping bar and axially crossing the entire electrode, wire which is cut to the desired length after having welded its end to the plate, or a section of wire introduced into the end outside of the clamp.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example and partially, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, in axial section, the electrode and a counter-electrode of the machine.
Fig. 2 is a section along II-II of FIG: 1.
The electrode of the machine shown comprises a body 1 having an axial bore 2. A clamping block 3 is introduced into this bore 2 from one of its ends, while a copper clamp holder 4 is introduced into this bore from the other end. The cleat 3 has an axial bore 5.
The clamp holder 4 also has an axial bore 6 into which is introduced a copper clamp 7 whose end located inside the body 1 -is threaded and screwed into a thread 8 that has the end of the cleat. 3 located inside the body 1. The clamp 7 has an axial bore 9. This bore 9, as well as the bore 7 of the cleat are in the continuation of one another, so that a wire 10 can be introduced into the bore 5 of the cleat, this wire then passing through the bore 9 of the clamp 7 to exit through the end thereof.
The end of the clamp 7 which is located on the outside is split along two perpendicular diametric planes, as can be seen more particularly in FIG. 2. These slots It divide the end of the clamp into four tabs which can come closer or closer to each other depending on whether the clamp 7 is screwed more or less into the thread 8 of the cleat by the fact that the clamp holder 4 rests more or less on a conical part 12 presented by the outer part of these tongues. In this way, the clamp can be clamped on the wire 10. This position is particularly advantageous when, instead of using a wire, a metal point or section of wire is used.
The section of wire can then be introduced into the end of the clamp and the latter can be clamped on said section by screwing the clamp into the internal thread 8 of the cleat. This arrangement therefore allows the use of wires or sections of wires of different diameters.
On the body 1 of the electrode is mounted an arm 13 easily removable or adjustable in position on the body 1 by means of a clamping screw 14. On this arm 13 is pivoted a spool 18 on which the wire is wound.
15 is a clamp-holder locking screw 4. 16 designates a copper counter-electrode of the machine and 17 designates a plate on which the sections are to be welded. This plate can be a dial: of a watch.
