Insulator with fastening screw for electric paddock fencing. The present invention is an insulator with fastening screw for electric fences of paddocks, in the form of a bell on the fastening screw angeord designated from an electrically isolate the material.
According to the invention, a slot intended for inserting the electrical conductor of the fencing is excepted on the bell, whereby on the bottom of this slot, transverse recesses are provided with respect to the insulator axis, the whole in such a way that the electrical conductor after being inserted into the slot and pivoting the conductor part located in the slot into the recesses, secured against unintentional lifting by the tabs of the insulator head that cover these recesses, but can move freely in the axial direction.
In the accompanying drawing are in Figs. 1 and 2 respectively. 3 to 5 show two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, namely:
Fig. 1 shows a side view of the first exemplary embodiment of the insulator in the direction of the arrow I shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 2 shows a plan view of the insulator provided in Fig. 1 in the direction of the arrow II shown in Fig. 1, \ 3 shows an axial section through the second exemplary embodiment of the insulator along the line III-III in FIG. 4,
FIG. 4 shows a section along line IV-IV in FIG. 3 and FIG. 5 shows a section along line V-V in FIG. 3.
In the examples shown, 1 denotes an insulator bell made of an electrically insulating material, for example made of porcelain, synthetic resin or the like. In the isolator bell a wood screw 2 is cast, which is straight in the example of FIGS. 1 and 2 and is designed as a hook in the example of FIGS. On the opposite of the screw 2 the end face la, a straight slot 3 is excluded from the bell.
On the bottom of the slot 3, slot-shaped recesses 4 and 5 are also excepted men, which run at right angles to the plane of the slot 3 and are arranged opposite one another with respect to the isolator axis. With a 6 used as a fence, the bare electrical conductor is referred to.
With an isolator according to the invention, a fence around a pasture can be made in a short time. Since a number of wooden piles are rammed into the ground around the square and the insulators 1 screwed onto them using the wood? attached. It is important to ensure that the plane of the slot 3, each insulator with the position which the conductor 6 has to assume when the fence is fully erected, approximately encloses an acute angle a (FIG. 2). The conductor 6 is then stretched around the pasture and attached to the insulators 1. This fastening takes place in such a way that in the region of each insulator the conductor 6 is first pivoted by the angle a from its position to be taken in the finished fence and inserted into the slot 3 of the insulator.
If the head 6 rests on the bottom of the slot 3, the head can be brought into the extended position to be assumed (shown in phantom in Figs. 2 and 4), whereby it is of the recesses 4 and 5 cover the tabs 1b and 1c of the insulator head la is secured against lifting out of the slot 3, but can still move freely in the axial direction in the insulator.
The above-described Ausfüh approximate forms of the isolator allow a very quick assembly and disassembly of a fence ladder and ensure free movement of the conductor in its axial direction with good protection of the conductor against unintentional Lö sen from the insulator.
