Description
]Electric heater. The object of the present invention is an electric radiator intended for heating premises, and characterized in that its heating element is removable and consists of at least one electric iron. Depending on the desired heating possibilities, embodiments will be used in which the heating element is constituted by one or more irons.
The radiator according to the invention may be of the radiation type, convection type, of the mixed type, or of any other common construction with a large surface area and good thermal conductivity.
The radiator that is the subject of the invention makes it possible to use any electric iron as a pleasant heating means.
Due to the generally reduced power of irons (less than 1/2 kW), it may be advantageous to direct the heat radiation in a preferred direction. This can be obtained, for example, by moving the radiator with a radiant element consisting of a sheet metal plate, whether or not flat, having a dark-colored face on the side to radiate the most heat, and a light face, or even polite, on the other side.
