Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 230904. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines höhermolekularen, wasserlöslichen Kondensationsproduktes. Gegenstand vorliegenden Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines höher molekularen Kondensations.p.roduktes, wel ches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man Stearoylaminomethyl-cyanguanidim mit einem Gemisch aus Mono- und Diäthanodamin (1: \?) kondensiert und das Kondensationsprodukt erschöpfend methyliert.
Die quaternäre Verbindung, eine bräun liche Masse, eignet sich zum Weichmacken von Textilien.
Beispiel: An 37 Teile (Stearoylaminomethyl)-cyan- guanidin wird ein Gemisch von Mono- und Diäthanolamin (1:2) durch 12stündiges Rüh ren bei 130-140 angelagert und die Schmelze zirka 6 Stunden noch unter Rühren auf 190-210 erhitzt, wodurch eine nach dem Erkalten gelbstickige, feste Masse erhal ten wird.
44 Teile der so dargestellten Guanamin- verbindung werden in 300 Teilen Chlorben zol gelöst, mit 37 Teilen Dimethylsulfat und 35 Teilen Soda versetzt und während 6 Stun den auf 100-110 erhitzt. Nach Entfernung der anorganischen Salze und Vertreiben des Lösungsmittels hinterbleibt eine braune, in Säuren lösliche Masse.
44 Teile der methylierten Verbindung werden in Form der Base mit 8 Teilen Di- methylsulfat auf dem Wasserbad bis zur urasserlöslichkeit erhitzt. Die quaterxiäre Verbindung eignet sich vorzüglich zum Weichmacken von Textilien.

The quaternary compound, a brownish mass, is suitable for softening textiles.
Example: A mixture of mono- and diethanolamine (1: 2) is added to 37 parts of (stearoylaminomethyl) cyanoguanidine by stirring for 12 hours at 130-140 and the melt is heated to 190-210 for about 6 hours while stirring a yellow, sticky mass is obtained after cooling.
44 parts of the guanamine compound thus prepared are dissolved in 300 parts of chlorobenzene, 37 parts of dimethyl sulfate and 35 parts of soda are added and the mixture is heated to 100-110 for 6 hours. After removing the inorganic salts and driving off the solvent, a brown mass which is soluble in acids remains.
44 parts of the methylated compound are heated in the form of the base with 8 parts of dimethyl sulfate on a water bath until they are water-soluble. The quaterxial connection is ideally suited to softening textiles.
