Description

Fahrrad.

Bicycle. The invention relates to a bicycle, which is particularly suitable as a racer and is characterized by the fact that it BEZW for the purpose of reducing the air. Driving resistance is set up for driving in the prone position of the body.

The accompanying drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject invention.

F'ig. 1 shows the wheel in side view and FIG. 2 in plan view.

The bicycle shown for example has a relative to the rear wheel 1 small res front wheel 2; on its fork 3, the handlebar 4 is recessed in such a way that the handles 5 are approximately at the level of the front wheel axle (FIG. 1).

The upper support 6 of the vehicle frame consists of two parallel rods rigidly connected to one another by struts 7 (Fig. 2), on which cross bars 8 and 9 are fastened and longitudinally adjustable, on which body supports 10, 10a and 11, 11cz can be fastened and adjusted . The supports 10, 10a serve as chest supports and the supports 11, 11a as hip supports.

The adjustability of the cross bars and the supports means that the latter can be adapted to the different body shapes of the driver. a The carrier 6 of the vehicle frame is extended beyond the rear wheel 1 and there bent down to the level of the rear wheel axle, bent sharply and guided forward again with an arm 6a. The hub 12 of the pedals 13 is fastened in the bend of the carrier 6 behind the rear wheel 1. At the end of the support arm 6a, the bearing 14 for the rear wheel axle 15 is introduced.

From the end of the support arm 6a, which is connected to the other struts of the frame, a strut rod 16 leads to the carrier 6, which is extended upward, where it together with a leading to the bend of the carrier 6 rod 17 has a horizontally arranged sleeve 18 for carries a saddle 19. The mode of operation and driving of the bicycle is readily apparent from Fig. 1, ivo a driver is shown in phantom in the driving position.

The driver finds: the necessary to step on the pedals 13 counter support in the supports 10, 10a respectively. 11, 11a, on which he resp. rests on the hips.

Due to the driving position in the abdomen, compared to the previous sitting position, a significant reduction in driving and / or driving position is achieved. Achieved air resistance, which is of particular advantage for the driving speed when racing.
