La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation de la partie supérieure de cette forme d'exécution; la fig. 2 est une vue en plan depuis dessus; la fig. 3 est une vue en élévation avec parties coupées pour montrer le mécanisme intérieur; la fig. 4 est une coupe axiale;
Electrical device for cutting to. dry body hair or hair. The object of the present invention is an electrical device for dry severing hair or hair, of the type comprising a fixed toothed blade serving as a comb and a toothed blade driven by an oscillating movement about a fixed axis and cooperating with the first, characterized in that it comprises, adjusted on the cylindrical upper end of its frame,
a sleeve forming a protective sheath, the height position of which in relation to the sectioning plane is adjustable by rotation of said sleeve on its seat.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the apparatus.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the upper part of this embodiment; fig. 2 is a plan view from above; fig. 3 is an elevational view with parts cut away to show the interior mechanism; fig. 4 is an axial section;
fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of FIG. 4, and fig. 6 is an elevational view with parts broken away to show, in axial section, part of the inner mechanism and the auxiliary comb.
10 denotes the upper part of the frame of the apparatus, preferably constructed of an insulating material such as ebonite, synthetic resins, etc. and containing an electric motor, not shown, the upper end of the axis 11 thereof being supported by a bearing 12.
A metal bowl 13 with a knurled collar 14 followed by a hollow cylindrical part 15 of reduced outside diameter is screwed onto the threaded upper end of the frame.
In the axial bore of the bottom 16 of the bowl 13 is mounted a bearing 17 which supports a short shaft section 18 that one. coupling 19, with tenon and mortise, makes it possible to couple, when the cup 13 is fully screwed onto the frame 10, to the axis 11 of the motor.
At the end of the shaft section 18, at the opposite end of the coupling, an eccentric pin 20 is fixed which engages in a slide 21 made in a crank 22 pivoted on a pin 23 planted in the bottom 16 of the cup 13. The crank 22 is held in place by a part formed by a disc 24 and a threaded barrel 25 connected to the bottom 16 of the cup by two screws 26 and by the pin 23. The crank 22 therefore oscillates between the bottom 16 and the disc 24.
It transmits, by its crank pin 27, an oscillating movement around a fixed axis to the circular blade 28, the hub 29 of which is mounted idle on the rod 30 of the fixed circular blade 31, the threaded end 32 of which is screwed into the threaded barrel 25. The two blades 28 and 31 are toothed and their teeth are straight, and double-edged. Those of the fixed blade 31 are smaller than those of the movable blade 28. A spiral spring 33, housed in a recess of the hub 29 of the movable blade and bearing on the disc 24 tends to press the movable blade 28 against the surface. lower part of the fixed blade 31 with which it cooperates for the sectioning of the hairs and the hair.
Two holes 34 are made in the fixed blade 31. They are intended for the introduction of two claws of a key provided for screwing and unscrewing this blade in the barrel 25.
On the cylindrical part 15 of the cup 13 is forcibly engaged a ring 35, the upper edge of which has three ramps 36. A sleeve 37, carrying at its upper end a toothed ring 38, is adjusted to gentle friction on the cylindrical part 15 of the cup, above the fixed ring 35. The lower edge of the sleeve 37 also has three ramps corresponding to the ramps 36 of the ring on which it rests. The sleeve 37 serves as a protective sheath.
The position of its ring gear relative to the sectioning plane, that is to say relative to the lower surface of the fixed blade 31, can be adjusted in height at will by a simple rotation of the sleeve 37 on its seat. , convenient and instant adjustment that the operator can perform with just one finger during operation without removing any part of the device.
The rod 30 of the fixed blade 31 has at its upper end a shape 39 of the tines to receive the rod 40 (FIG. 6) of a removable circular comb 41 which is used for sectioning the hair only. Several interchangeable auxiliary combs 41 can be provided, of different heights or thicknesses which are used according to the. length of cut that is desired.
The device described and shown can be used both as a trimmer and as a razor. Its cleaning after or during use is extremely easy, since it suffices to remove the protective sheath to expose the blades and remove any hairs that may have accumulated in the empty space below them. Likewise, the entire movement transmission mechanism is easily accessible and its operation can be checked at any time. even on the go, with no other trouble than removing the protective sleeve. The protective sleeve could have no teeth and only include a smooth bead by means of which the device is pressed against the skin in the vicinity of the parts to be shaved.
