Fig. 3).
Method for reducing the highest pressure surge in the supply line of a water turbine in the event of load shutdowns, and device for carrying out this method. The invention relates to a method in order to reduce the highest pressure surge in the supply line of a water turbine with a distributor and automatic pressure regulator with a secondary outlet during load shutdowns. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for carrying out this method.
In Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawings, a hydropower plant of conventional design is shown in which a pipeline L is connected at the top to a storage basin B and to a turbine T below. Immediately in front of the turbine T, an automatic pressure regulator D with a secondary outlet is built into the line L. If the nozzle of the turbine T is closed quickly during operation, this triggers an opening of the pressure regulator D and associated pressure fluctuations in the pipeline L in a known manner.
In FIG. 2 of the accompanying drawing, the solid line z shows the pressure fluctuations at a point D1 immediately in front of the turbine <I> T </I> and the pressure regulator <I>, as when an uncontrolled pressure regulator of, for example, 480 mm nominal width is installed D </I> are usually borrowed when the load of the turbine T decreases. The pressures H are plotted as a function of time t.
In the further FIG. 3, also as a function of time t, the opening strokes of the servomotor of the turbine nozzle and the opening strokes of the uncontrolled pressure regulator D with secondary outlet of the previous design are plotted, which is the solid lines r and respectively. s results. As can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3, the pressure regulator D does not open at the moment when the closing movement of the diffuser begins, so that when the load on the turbine T decreases, the pressure at the mentioned point D, initially up to point P,
the F'ig. 2, increases. Only when the closing speed has reached a certain level, which is the case at point P, does the pressure regulator D begin to open, so that the pressure at point D1 begins in accordance with the flow rate in the pipeline L to sink, gradually, as the distance P2-P3 of FIG. 2 shows, a state of equilibrium between the decreasing amount of water Q1T, which flows through the turbine T, and the increasing amount of water Q, D, which is determined by the pressure regulator D drains, trains.
In add. 4 these amounts of water Q, T and Q1D are related to a 1 m gradient as a function of the percentage opening ratio

the turbine and the pressure regulator applied, with one curve Q, D corresponding to a nominal diameter of the pressure regulator of 480 mm and a second curve Q, D corresponding to a nominal diameter of the pressure regulator of 400 mm. The mentioned state of equilibrium in the pressure curve is suddenly significantly different when the point P3 is reached by the fact that the primary disturbance that has occurred in the pipeline L begins to return after the starting point, during the first reflection time

has expired.
In this expression, L denotes the pipe length in meters and a denotes the pressure propagation speed, which in the present case is assumed to be 1000 m / sec, for example. If the pipe length for the selected example is L = 500 m, the reflection time is:
EMI0002.0013
The pressure increase P0-P1 that occurred in the previous pressure curve therefore asserts itself as a reflected negative shock wave after point P3 has been reached, so that the pressure surge curve after point P3 corresponds to the lines P3-P4 in FIG.
From point P4 the pressure rises continuously during the remaining part of the second reflection time, because the pressure drop P, -P3 from the first pressure surge phase now acts as a positive shock wave, so that the pressure curve takes place according to the line P4-P5. At the end of the second reflection time, that is to say after two seconds, the guide apparatus of the turbine T is completely closed and the pressure regulator D is completely open (see FIG. 3). The pressure at point D1, however, continues to increase, since the pressure decrease P3-P4 from the previous phase now asserts itself, the pressure at point PR assuming the highest ever occurring value, only to then decrease again.
The highest pressure P8 is considerable, that is to say about 18% above the pressure that prevails at point D1 when the turbine T is under normal loading.
A pressure surge that exceeds the pressure prevailing at point D1 of the line under normal operating conditions by up to 18 can be dangerous for the line. To remedy this danger. is now according to the method according to the present invention during the closing time of the turbine nozzle opening of the pressure regulator D automatically controls so ge that only such a pressure rise BEZW during the first reflection time. Pressure drop in the pipeline occurs that during the second reflection time by the then prevailing, reflected negative respectively. positive pressure shock wave a dampening effect on the further pressure rise respectively. the further pressure reduction is exercised.
This is achieved during the installation; According to the invention, (let a control device control the opening of the pressure regulator. The control device can be designed as a cam disk or as a lever mechanism, the lever ratios of which produce the specified opening of the pressure regulator.
The control device can also be influenced by bores in the cataract piston of the pressure regulator.
On the attached second sheet of drawings - the method according to the invention is also explained by way of example with the aid of the drawing - various embodiments of devices for executing the method according to the invention are illustrated, for example, FIG. 5 shows a device , in which the control device is configured as a cam, FIG. 6 shows a device in which the control device is configured as a lever mechanism, and FIG. 7 shows a device in which the control device is influenced by bores in the cata- ra ktl of the pressure regulator eD .
In Fig. 5, 1 denotes the diffuser of a turbine 2, which the water flows in the direction of arrow A Rich. A pressure regulator 3 with a secondary outlet 4 is assigned to this turbine 2. The automatic actuation of the valve body 5 of the pressure regulator 3 takes place from a servomotor 6, which is influenced in depen dence on the load on the turbine 2 by a speed regulator, not shown, in the usual way. The rod 7 of the servomotor piston 8 is once with the adjusting device 9 of the guide apparatus 1 and then with a control device designed as a cam 10 in operative connection. Against the control surface of the cure venscheibe 10 is constantly one end of one about a pin 11 rotatable angle lever 12, the other end of which is articulated to the rod 13 of a body 14 is the verbun.
This body 14 dominates the overflow inside a cataract, the piston of which is denoted by 15 and its housing by 16. At the lower bottom of the Ka taraktgehäuses 16, a valve head 17 is be fastened, which dominates the outflow of liquid from the open top cavity of a rigidly connected to the valve body 5 approach 22. In this regard, it is liquid that can get from the line 18 leading to the pressure regulator 3 through a Nebenlei device 19 with built-in aperture in a space 20 above the valve body 5 and from this space 20 through openings 21 in the extension 22 in the cavity. The liquid emerging from the cavity of the extension 22 flows through a device 23 into the open air.
If the cataract piston 15 is entrained by the latter when the body 14 moves upwards, a vacuum is created below the piston 15, so that the Ka tarakt housing 16 is caused to move upwards as well; the valve head 17 is moved away from the extension 22 as a result. It therefore now flows more liq fluid from the space 20 through the cavity of the extension 22 and the line 23 than this space 20 can flow through the line 19 with built-in diaphragm. The pressure in the space 20 decreases as a result, so that the valve body 5 is now raised by the water pressure that is constantly acting on it from below, by as much as the previously removed from the control surface of the cam 10 corresponds to stroke.
This control surface is now designed according to the arrangement of the tunnel, surge tank and pipeline, that is, the water inflow conditions, and also accordingly to the flow rates of the turbine 2 and the pressure regulator 3 and the closing law of the turbine regulator, not shown, so that in Fig. 3 the lift path of the valve body 5 no longer, as was previously the case, after the line s, but with a nominal width of the pressure regulator of, for example, 480 mm according to the dashed line s, and with a nominal width of, for example 400 mm, after the dashed line s2 runs. Accordingly, completely different pressure curves than before result in Fig. 2.
In this fig. 2 is the pressure curve, which corresponds to the Ilubbahn s, with the reference symbol zi. and the D, jerk curve, which corresponds to the stroke path s2, has the reference symbol z2.
The fact that the control surface of the Nurve disc 10 is set in advance in the manner indicated means that for the first reflection time at the point Dl (fix. 1) compared to the state before the pressure regulator 3 was opened, a pressure does not drop as before, but rather a Achieve pressure increase. As a result, a damping effect is exerted during the second Re flexionszeit by the then asserting negative pressure shock wave.
As a consequence of this, the highest point of curve z1 is now not even 7c% and that of curve z2 is not even 14% above the pressure that prevails at point D1 under normal operating conditions of the turbine. The highest point of the pressure curve z2, which results from the installation of a controlled pressure regulator of 400 mm, is even lower than the highest point P6 of the pressure curve z, which results from the installation of an uncontrolled pressure regulator of 480 mm, and this despite this, in the latter case, the amount flowing out through the pressure regulator is much larger and it would consequently be expected that the pressure surges would be less strong. As a result of this, it can therefore be determined.
that when applying the teaching according to the present invention, the pressure regulators can be made much smaller and therefore cheaper than the previously used uncontrolled pressure regulators with the same operational reliability. The control device, which controls the opening of the pressure regulator, can also be designed as a lever mechanism 24 in the manner shown in FIG. 6, whereby the specified opening of the valve body 5 of the pressure regulator 3 can be brought out by appropriate definition of the lever ratios.
Finally, FIG. 7 shows a device in which the control device is influenced by a cataract which has a housing 26 and a piston consisting of two parts 27, 28 and a spring 29 connected between these parts 27 and 28. In the piston part 27 a larger bore 30 and in the piston part 28 a smaller bore 31 is provided. If the lever 25 is moved counterclockwise, the housing 26 is initially only taken along slowly, because at the beginning of the upward movement of the cataract piston, its parts 27, 28 can still shift somewhat with respect to one another.
The air displaced from the space between these parts 27, 28 is pushed through the larger bore 30 into the space below the cataract bulb, so that in the last-mentioned space a vacuum causing the housing 26 to be accommodated only gradually occurs. But as soon as the piston part 27 comes to rest against the piston part 28, only the smaller bore 31 determines the amount of air reaching the space below the cataract piston and thus also dlas in this space during the upward movement of that piston bil Dende vacuum. As a result of the small size of the bore 31, this vacuum increases rapidly, so that the housing 26 is now also taken along more quickly.
The invention can also be used without further ado in the manner described if, instead of a pressure drop, a pressure increase occurs during the first reflection time.
