Selbstansaugende Kreiselpumpe.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungs gegenstandes ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 ein greiselpumpenaggregat in Längsansicht, Fig. 2 in Stirnansicht von der .Saugseite gesehen und Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht desselben; Fig. 4 in grösserem Massstab einen Sehritt durch die Strahlpumpe; Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen die Verbindung von Luftabscheidekessel und Druckrohrleitung in Längs- und Querschnitt;

Self-priming centrifugal pump. The subject matter of the present invention is a self-priming centrifugal pump with a jet pump installed in the suction line raised via the pump and an air separation vessel arranged on the pressure side.
In known pumps of this type, the air separation boiler was set in the pressure line and the jet pump was connected directly to the pressure line, which for this purpose had to be brought down below the height of the pump in order to always remain filled with water. Since the jet pump was not only in operation when it was started up, but also during normal pumping operation, and a considerable part of the total flow rate flowed through it, there was a constant fluid circulation within the pump system associated with eddy currents, which resulted in a corresponding Loss of strength caused.
To remedy this disadvantage, a second jet pump, which acts in the conveying direction of the centrifugal pump and is connected to the jet pump of the suction line, was installed in the pressure line below the air separator, through which the entire flow rate flowed, namely the circulation in normal operation, but consequently throttling again caused a loss of energy.
Pumps for liquids that carried large, solid foreign bodies, such as stone excavator pumps, could also block the nozzle of this second jet pump. Another disadvantage with pumps of the last-mentioned type was that the stones carried along, which often weigh several kilograms depending on the pump output, are violently thrown against the wall of the air separation vessel and cause damage to it.
The difficulties mentioned can now be remedied in the centrifugal pump according to the invention in that the air separation tank is not located directly in the pressure line itself, but is laterally connected to it and the jet pump nozzle is connected to a line branching off from it.
Thanks to this training, the circulation within the pump system is reduced compared to known pumps in normal operation. With a moderate connection of the air separation boiler to the pressure line, the inertia in the delivery flow of the pressure line can also ensure that no solid foreign bodies, even those of large dimensions, get into the air separation boiler.
The security against trespassing such foreign bodies can be increased by installing a grate to hold back solid foreign objects in the connection of the air separator with the pressure line, which grate is provided with an externally operated grate wiper.
Conveniently, an additional suction jet pump connected to the pressure side of the pump housing is used in the jet pump line, which exerts a suction effect on the pressure side of the pump housing through which the pressure bearing of the pump is relieved.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a centrifugal pump unit in a longitudinal view, FIG. 2 in an end view from the suction side, and FIG. 3 is a plan view of the same; 4 shows, on a larger scale, a section through the jet pump; FIGS. 5 and 6 show the connection of the air separation boiler and pressure pipe in longitudinal and cross-section;
7 and 8 each show, on a larger scale, a variant of the connection of the air separation boiler with the pressure line in a vertical section.
The pump assembly shown in the drawing, designed for use as a stone excavator pump, consists of the centrifugal pump P and the electric motor ill that is directly coupled to it. The suction line S '

In order to flush the pump free of foreign bodies such as sand and gravel, flushing lines 7 and 8 are connected to its suction and pressure side, which are fed by a high-pressure water line connection 9-.
In the case of pumps for liquids that carry thick components, for example sludge and faecal pumps, a more or less fine strainer with a scraper device can be used in place of the ro stes.
Under certain circumstances, it may also be desirable to take precautions to further reduce the internal circuit existing in the pump system under the influence of the jet pump, if possible, in order to reduce the associated energy loss.
Variants for realizing this requirement are shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, in a manner similar to that described above, a lateral connection piece 10 is connected to the air separation vessel L and opens laterally into a pipe 21. Through this pipe 21, the pressure line 11 is concentric leads, namely the two pipes are dimensioned so that a narrow annular space remains free between them. At the ends, the two tubes are connected to one another by flanges.
The inner tube 11 has on its periphery facing the connector 10 obliquely upwardly directed bores 22 for air separation. At the same time, however, under the influence of the water flowing in the direction of the arrow in the pressure line, there is a suction effect in the direction of the dashed arrow, which is opposite to the suction effect of the jet pump 2 running in the direction of the solid arrow, i.e. the internal circuit, and the same largely cancels.
At the same time, the passage of solid foreign bodies into the air separation vessel is prevented with safety. The one in Pig is particularly effective. 8 presented training. Here, the pressure pipe 11 coming from the pump opens into an outer pipe 31 attached to the side of the nozzle 10 and having a larger diameter than the pressure pipe 11, and its upper end extends with an extension into the outer pipe 31, from which the Pressure line 11 'is continued with the same diameter as the outer tube.
In the expansion there are holes 32 all around, through which, as a result of this formation in the expanded part of the pressure tube, the pressure water flowing through causes a Venturi effect, which results in a suction effect in the direction of the dashed arrow. In normal operation of the pump, the inner circuit is largely canceled.
