So steht z.
Process for operating heat pump systems and equipment for carrying out the process. In heat pump systems, the ambient heat is generally used as a heating source. The heat-emitting medium is normally available in large quantities, so that in general its temperature decreases only slightly when the amount of heat is emitted. Is z. B. river water is used as a heat source, the temperature of the utilized amount of water is usually only reduced by about 1-2 degrees.
In industrial plants, however, it often happens that liquid or gas with a higher temperature, but only in limited quantities, is available as a heating source, so that when the required amount of heat is given off, the temperature decreases in a significant amount of water. So stands z. B. very often industrial wastewater with a temperature of z. B. 90 C available in such an amount that after giving the required amount of heat from their temperature z.
B. decreases to 40 C. Since the outlet temperature of the medium used as a heat source is always higher than the temperature at which the heat transfer medium of the heat pump evaporates, the temperature of the heat transfer medium sucked in by the compressor would in this case remain below 40 C ". As the efficiency of the heat pump depends on the ratio of the saturation temperatures in the evaporator and in the condenser, the efficiency, at a given final compression pressure, is the worse the colder the compressor draws in the heat transfer medium from the evaporator.
If the method according to the present invention is used, the efficiency of a heat pump system can be significantly increased in the cases described above. According to the method according to the present invention, the medium serving as a heating source does not give off its heat in a single but in several evaporators
which, seen in the flow direction of the heat-emitting medium, are connected one behind the other. In this case, only part of the heat transfer medium is evaporated at a temperature which is below the discharge temperature of the heat-emitting medium, and only in the last evaporator, whereas the evaporation in the upstream evaporators takes place at higher temperatures and so on the compressor only has to compress part of the heat carrier from the lowest pressure, but the other parts from gradually higher pressures to the final pressure.
This makes the efficiency of a heat pump system operated in this way better than that of a system with only one evaporator.
An embodiment of a device for carrying out the method according to the present invention is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing., -An hand which also the method according to the invention is explained for example.
The pump a pushes the medium serving as the heating source through the evaporators b2 and b, which are connected in series, viewed in the direction of flow of the heat-emitting medium. In the example only two evaporators are given; the number of these can. but also be larger if necessary. The compressor c sucks in the vapors developed in the evaporator b1 and compresses them to the final pressure.
The vapors developed in the Ver evaporator b2 at a higher temperature and at a higher pressure are sucked in by the compressor at an intermediate point corresponding to the higher pressure and only from this. higher pressure compressed to the final pressure. After leaving the compressor, the vapors are then precipitated in the condenser d, where it is heated to the desired temperature by the medium to be heated conveyed by the pump e.
The liquid produced in the condenser d passes through the throttle valves f back into the evaporators b1 and b2, where it ends the old process and evaporates.
The compressor c can of course, if necessary - from two or, according to the number of evaporators, if necessary - from several - the pressure stages of the evaporator according to - separate units exist, i.e. separate compressor units can be used to cope with the pressure differences between two successive evaporators be set up.
Using a numerical example, the method according to the invention will be explained who the. If z. B. Hot water with a temperature of 60 C is available in such an amount that this amount of water has to be cooled to 20 C in order to give off the desired amount of heat, the saturation temperature in the evaporator is fer - if the heat transfer medium is only m a single evaporator evaporated will inevitably remain below 20 C. Would it be the desired temperature in the capacitor z.
B. 90 C, the compressor would have to overcome a pressure difference between about 20 and 90 C saturation temperature. But when using the method according to the present gender invention z. B. ver uses two evaporators, the heating water in the first evaporator is only cooled to about 40 C and from 40 to 20 C only in the second: Ver evaporator.
In this case, however, the evaporation of the heat transfer medium in the first evaporator takes place at a temperature below 40 C, so that the compressor only has to compress some of the vapors with the pressure difference between the temperatures of 20 C and 90 C and the other part only has to be compressed from 40 C to 90 C, which means considerable energy savings.
