Description
Turbine blade, which is at least partly made of sintered material, for high-temperature working media. A turbine blade for high temperature working fluids, e.g. B. a gas turbine blade should have at least the following properties: 1. High fatigue strength up to temperatures above 700 C.
2. Little one. specific weight.
d ,. Good thermal conductivity and resistance to temperature changes. 4. Great surface hardness.
5. Simple and solid attachment option.
6. Difficult to oxidize, that means good resistance to scaling. _ It is known to produce sintered turbine blades from homogeneously mixed metal and ceramic powders. Such blades are specifically lighter than steel blades. Your stress is therefore less high. The sintered construction allows a higher operating temperature with the same durability of the blades. The foot does not have to have the strength of the shovel because it is colder.
It can therefore consist of a known steel alloy with high fatigue strength. The connection between ceramic bodies, on the one hand, and metal bodies, on the other, has already been achieved with other objects in such a way that ceramic and metal powders are first mixed, stacked and pressed in such a way that the resulting powder compacts spread from one to the other End gradually or gradually changes from pure ceramic to pure metal.
This compact powder is then heated up, or the layered powder mixture is simultaneously pressed and heated in order to give the resulting sintered body a particularly dense structure. A metal body can be soldered or otherwise suitably attached to the end of the sintered body made of pure metal.
Use is made of this proposal in the present invention, which relates to a turbine blade for working medium high temperature.
According to the invention, the blade has a foot made of metal, to which a shaft is connected, which consists at least on the surface of a sintered, metallic and ogydic powder mixture containing powder with decreasing metal content away from the material of the foot.
A shovel layered in this way, e.g. with a steel base, can be attached just as well as one made entirely of steel. The blade root can pass into the inside of the shaft.
In the drawing, for example, two different embodiments of such blades according to the invention are shown in longitudinal section. In both examples, a is the blade root, here for example in the known de Laval design, b is the blade shaft.
According to FIG. 1, the separately produced foot consists of steel, that is to say it is not sintered, and extends deep into the shaft. This is composed of a powder mixture containing metallic and oxidic substances in such a way that the metal content decreases more and more away from the material of the foot, so that a poisonous connection between shaft and foot is possible.
According to the example in FIG. 2, the foot and shaft are made of sintered material in such a way that the mixture from the foot to the head of the blade gradually changes from the approximately pure metal of the foot to pure ceramic.
Finally, the shaft can also have a basic blade shape made of steel, e.g. B. Molybdenum or tungsten steel with a protective layer of metallic and oxidic substances containing powder mixture. Molybdenum and tungsten oxidize very easily at annealing temperatures and burn off. Without suitable cover or protective layers, they are unusable for gas turbine blades. The protective layer must be sufficiently dense and not easily vulnerable.
Mixed with ceramic alone, the protection is still insufficient if the metal of the outer layer can combine with oxygen. Felling is more favorable with a mixed body made of durable steel and ceramic, because the metal is usually very resistant to scale at the same time. Pure metals such as iron, nickel, chromium, cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, or their alloys, in particular those with high fatigue strength, can be used as metal powder. Metal powders made from hard metal alloys, such as tungsten carbide with cobalt or nickel addition, are also suitable.
The oxidic part of the powder mixture is advantageously chosen from the pure oxides of high-melting, high-temperature-resistant materials, in particular those with high thermal conductivity, such as beryllium or aluminum, zirconium, magnesium, thorium. Furthermore, mixtures and compounds of these oxides, such as spinel, zirconium silicate and others, as well as oxides that melt less high, such as quartz,
Titanium oxide, but also porcelain (a mixture of kaolin, quartz and feldspar), or substances from the steatite group with soapstone or talc, can be used as the main substance, or you can use glass powder from hard glasses such as Pyrex and Duran, which are similar to ceramics due to sintering can address.
A turbine blade according to the invention can, under certain conditions, combine all of the properties mentioned at the beginning: To 1. Tests have shown that molybdenum wire at 800 C has a fatigue strength of 10 kg / mm '. For Wolfram Jiegt the value is even higher. The tensile strength of ceramic alone is low compared to that of metal (0.3 to 0.8 kg / mm '). In the case of a metal-ceramic blade, the entire load must therefore be taken over by the metal frame.
This metal framework can now consist of the known alloys with high fatigue strength or then of molybdenum or tungsten; or mixtures of both.
As mentioned above, a sintered shovel made of ceramic metal is specifically lighter than a steel shovel.
To 3. There are ceramic materials, such as beryllium oxide or aluminum oxide, with a thermal conductivity similar to that of iron. These are oxides with melting temperatures above 2000 C.
4. The surface hardness of ceramic materials is known to be greater - than that of hardened steel alloys. A Mischkör by the type described will also be favorable in this regard.
5. -A layered shovel with a steel base can be attached just as well as one made entirely of steel.
G. A mixed body made of permanently stable steel and ceramic is difficult to oxidize, that is, it is resistant to scaling.
