Heating appliance. The main patent a. the object is a heating appliance with normal draft, comprising a store intended to receive the fuel (preferably logs of wood) before it descends into a part of the appliance where it is heated to incandescence, means serving to bring separately into the incandescent mass of the fuel, on the one hand, the distillation gases given off in the store and, on the other hand, secondary air,
these gases and this air being mixed only in the right where they penetrate in the, incandescent mass, # cent of the fuel, a deflector serves to direct the mixture thus obtained in a direction opposite to that of the fuel. chimney print,
so that the contact of this melange with the incandescent mass is sufficient to normally bring about almost complete combustion. of said gases before their discharge into the chimney.
The present invention relates to a heating apparatus. of the above type, further ca ractérisé by an additional air intake arranged at the. upper part of the store, above, the door.
The apparatus preferably comprises a distribution box receiving said additional air and directing it along the door.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the heating apparatus according to the invention, consisting of a wood stove. The thread-. 1 is a section of this stove along line I-1 of fig. 2 and similar to FIG. 1 of the main patent.
Fig. 2 is a section of this stove along line II-II of fi-. 1 and similar to FIG. 2 - of the main patent.
Fig. 3 is a rear view of the stove and ana.lob ie in FIG. 4 of the main patent. Fig. 4 is a top view of the fixed element of the grid of this stove and similar to FIG. 6 of the main patent.
To avoid repetitions, the elements of the stove shown and the corresponding elements of the stove described in the main patent bear the same references. It is therefore sufficient to refer to the main patent to realize the. shape and operation of the stove shown with regard to the duct 8 for the supply of gases in the mass of incandescent wood, the ducts 10 and 12 for the supply of secondary air, the plate 13 li mit the duct 8 towards the rear and the deflector 14 formed by the lower part of the plate 13.
However, there is. instead of note quer that, in the apparatus shown, the rear plate 13 has an orifice t, while a register r, placed between this plate 13 and a partition u, can, in its upper position, close the orifice t of the plate 13 and an orifice v, provided in the partition z4 at the same height as the orifice t. The register r, in its lower position, closes an orifice which puts the interior of the appliance in communication with the chimney.
In addition, at the upper front part of the store is provided a valve a, controlling the admission of additional air into a box b, which is flared and has a concavity facing downwards at its lower part, in order to ensure a good distribution of the air in the store by directing this air along the door.
The operation of the stove described and shown presents, compared to the stove described in the main patent, a difference in that it can operate with direct draft or continuous fire.
To carry out the direct tïrab @ e (for example at the time of ignition or recharging, in particular with the aim of reducing, by prior evaporation, the quantity of water subsequently entrained by the distillation gases during the continuous fire), a side lever 1 is pulled by lifting it to release it from a lug which blocked it in the corresponding position. on a continuous fire.
This movement has the effect of moving the register r, in order to discover the orifices t, and v & the back plate 13 and of the partition ec and at the same time to close orifice s. The air enters through the openings of door 4, located below the grille.
When you want to operate over a continuous fire, for example, when you judge the wood sufficiently dry, you press the lever l by bringing it towards you and it is blocked under the aforementioned pin. The register r then closes the openings t and v of the plate 13 and die the partition u and the draft is effected as indicated in the main patent through the orifice s.
When the appliance operates in reverse draft, it is possible to close the air openings provided on door 4 and open valve a. The outside air then enters through box b, which emerges near the top of the fireplace door. The air is thus diffused in the hearth and combustion, in the vicinity of the door, takes place in the presence of an excess of air and consequently at low temperature.
Deposits are thus avoided., -Which makes it possible, in the case of a door with translucent windows, to maintain these transparent windows and to show through these windows the incandescent red mass which is located behind the latter.
