Counter-pivot plate device. We know that an important cond; it.ion for a mounting plate of a counterpivot to fulfill its role is that the seat of this mntrepivot is perfectly parallel to the plane of the. platinum.
Usually, this result is obtained by means of plates, wedge-starting, two screws, clamping arranged on either side of the counterpivot. In the. small free ca, -, so for movements of! small dimensions, however, it is not always possible to place two screws.
Moreover, there is a direct advantage in removing the screws which -are the almost inevitable cause, both by their very presence and by the simultaneous existence of threads in the plates, of an accumulation of dust. detrimental to the oil retention.
The counterpivot plate device according to the invention meets the conditions for good fixing of the counterpivot.
This device -is characterized in that the hla.que comprises a cylindrically pierced body and containing the counterpivot, and at least three fins integral with the body and each having a perimeter which comprises an arc of a circle, the center of which is outside to the geometrical axis of the counterpivot, said plate being housed in a countersunk core in a part of the movement and the edge of which is in lead,
the periphery of the core being provided with lobes equal in number to that of the fins, and the plate being provided with at least one or gane intended to give grip to a tool for making the fins press under, the edge in over- lead so as to wedge the plate and the. tighten against the flat bottom of the core.
The drawing represents. by way of example, a form of execution of the. plate according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a section through the axis of the counterpivot, or along the line I-I of the f i-g. 2, and fig. 2 is a plan view.
The plate 1 or another piece of the movement is milled along a core 2, the side or edge 3 of which is overhanging, that is to say goes by widening towards the interior of the plate.
The plate 4, formed of a cylindrically pierced body and containing the counter-pivot 5, comprises three fins 6 thinner than the body, these fins, being formed by stamping or by milling in one piece with the body.
The perimeter of each fin essentially comprises an arc of a circle, the center of which is outside the axis of the counter-pivot.
The plate 4 is housed in the, core 2, which is provided with three lobes 7. In addition, the plate 4 is provided with a member intended to give grip to a tool and allowing it to be rotated, for example ,, a slot 8 for a screwdriver, until close contact is made between the three fins. 6 and the corresponding lo bes holes 7, this assembly forming three clamping or locking eccentrics.
In order to prevent premature deterioration of the plate in use, it can be made of a metal as hard as steel. If the aoler is adopted, there is then an advantage in inserting, between the steel body and the counterpivot, a ring or an intermediate ring 9 made of softer metal, for example brass, to avoid breaking the counterpivot. under the action of clamping pressure.
Plate 4 is put in place in a simple and expedient manner, by inserting it into the core 2, the three fins 6 into the three lobes 7.
By means of a screwdriver engaged in the slot 8, the plate is pivoted, the fins of which come to bear against and under the inclined sides of the core. This results in, in each of the three contact regions, a pressure, the radial component of which has the effect of wedging the plate by friction,
while the axial component has the effect of clamping this plate against the bottom of the core. As these effects appear for each of the three contact points, distributed regularly with respect to the counterpivot, the latter is fixed under theoretically perfect conditions.
