Dans la. pratique. il est fort difficile: de tonriwr le bouton de commande avec une précision suffisante; pour communiquer à, l'axe du condensateur -des déplacements aussi Iwtit., ct;
Control device for radio receiver device. t-nc # of the difficulties which arise in the handling of radio receivers is to control with sufficient precision on the variable capacitor for station synchronization.
Given the large number of stations currently in existence and the small differences between their respective wavelengths, it is necessary to act very slowly and precisely on the axis of the capacitor, because a very small difference in rotation does this axis already represents an eliangement, of post.
In the. convenient. it is very difficult: to tonriwr the control button with sufficient precision; to communicate to, the axis of the capacitor - also displacements Iwtit., ct;
also precise, and similarly, given the scales currently used for radio receivers, it is difficult to locate a station by its. gradua- lion on the scale.
The. control device, object of the invention, avoids these drawbacks, because, on the one hand, it establishes a very large movement reduction between the control button: and: the axis of the capacitor and, on the other -kre part, it allows you to fix with absolute precision, the graduation corresponding to the position you want.
This device comprises two indicator needles, each rotating in front of a scope i-scale; by a dial, said. needle, 5 being mounted in such a way that for each complete turn of one of the needles, the other describes a fraction of a turn and being coupled with the axis of the control knob and with the axis of the variable capacitor in such a way that the movement is transmitted from the control button to the needle rotating at the highest speed.
from the latter to the other needle with a reduction in speed, and from the latter is transmitted to the axis of the condenser, the situation of each station being determined by the reading made by means of the two needles on their respective scales.
Preferably, the two needles are provided, and the two concentric scales. the latter being traced on the same dial.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention.
The fib. 1 is an exterior view.
The. Fib. : 3 is a view, assuming the dial removed.
The fib. 3 is a view of the right side of FIG. 2.
Fig. 4 is a schematic indication of the gear set.
In this drawing, 1 shows the variable capacitor, which may be of any suitable construction, the movable plates of which rotate with the axis! 2, and 3 represent the axis -du control button springing both outside the device for the. synchronization of stations.
4 and 5 show the two indicator needles, which in this construction example are mounted on concentric axes. 6 and 7, and move in front of equally concentric scales, 40 and 50, drawn on the same dial.
The scale of needle 4, the needle which turns the most slowly, may also bear the usual divisions in meters or in kilo cycles, and the names of the positions, with the indication of the approximate place where they appear.
All of these elements are brought into relation by the following gear mechanism: Axis 3 of the control button transmits the movement, by means of a belt 9, to a pulley 17 fixed on the end posterior of the axis 7 of the needle 1a. longer 5. This axis 7 carries fixed on it a pinion 70 (fig. 4), which controls a wheel 80 mounted on an auxiliary axis 8. This wheel 80 is integral with a pinion 81 and transmits the movement to the wheel 60 mounts on the axis 6 of the shorter needle 4. On this axis 6 is fixed, in addition, a pinion 61 which controls a toothed wheel 20 fixed on the axis 2 of the variable capacitor.
Therefore the movement of the control button is transmitted to the axis of the longer needle 5, which rotates relatively quickly, and this rapid rotational movement of the needle 5 is not transmitted directly to the capacitor, but undergoes a first reduction of movement to actuate the shorter needle 4, and a further reduction of movement to actuate the axis of the capacitor.
The ratio of the diameter of these gears is chosen so that for each turn of the longest needle 5, the shorter needle 4 only describes a fraction of a turn and, therefore, as the mauve- ment of the 'needle la; longer results in a, considerable amplitude in relation to the movement of the capacitor, it enables this capacitor to be actuated with all the required precision and to scale exactly the desired position.
The graduation of the positions can be read on the scales of the dial thanks to the position of the two hands, in a manner similar to the hours that one sees on the dial of a clock, and it is, therefore, easier to read and obtain this graduation only if there was only one scale divided into very small frac tions.
