<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 257722. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass ein wertvoller Küpenfarbstoff hergestellt werden kann, wenn man das Kondensationsprodukt aus 1 Mol 3',6'-Dichlorphthaloyl-fluoranthen und 2 Mol 1-Aminoanthrachinon der Formel

mit carbazolierenden Mitteln behandelt.
Der neue Farbstoff ist ein dunkles Pulver, das Baumwolle aus oliver Küpe in echten olivbraunen Tönen färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 2 Teile des Kondensationsproduktes aus 1 Mol Dichlorphthaloyl-fluoranthen und 2 Mol 1-Aminoanthrachinon werden bei 125 bis 1350 in eine Schmelze aus 10 Teilen Aluminium- Chlorid und 30 Teilen Pyridin eingetragen. Nun erhöht man die Temperatur auf 150 bis 1600, wobei ein Teil des Pyridins abdestilliert. Nach zweistündigem Rühren bei 150 bis 1600 ist die Reaktion beendet.
Die Schmelze wird in 1000 Teile 5 % iger Natronlauge eingerührt, verküpt und von geringen Mengen Unlös lichem abfiltriert. Der durch Einleiten von Luft vollständig ausgefällte Farbstoff wird abgesaugt, gewaschen und getrocknet.

The new dye is a dark powder that dyes cotton from an olive vat in real olive-brown tones.
<I> Example: </I> 2 parts of the condensation product of 1 mole of dichlorophthaloyl fluoranthene and 2 moles of 1-aminoanthraquinone are introduced into a melt of 10 parts of aluminum chloride and 30 parts of pyridine at 125 to 1350. The temperature is now increased to 150 to 1600, with part of the pyridine distilling off. After two hours of stirring at 150 to 1600, the reaction has ended.
The melt is stirred into 1000 parts of 5% sodium hydroxide solution, vat and small amounts of insoluble matter are filtered off. The dye, which is completely precipitated by the introduction of air, is filtered off with suction, washed and dried.
