Description

Textile goods, in particular for use as terry strips. The present invention relates to a textile product which is characterized in that it is made from a semi-finished product which has the shape of a chain made from at least one textile fiber. manufactured strand is crocheted.

In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is shown.

FIG. 1 shows the semifinished product crocheted in a chain-like manner from a strand, from which the textile goods according to FIG. 2 are made.

FIG. 2 schematically illustrates a textile product designed as a terry toweling and massage garden.

The semi-finished product according to Figure 1 is a chain 2 crocheted from a strand 1, which is formed in such a way that the strand is knocked back to form a chain link and pulled through the previous chain link and then through the loop of the one just formed new chain link is pushed through. Depending on the length of the individual link loops compared to the thickness of the strand used, the result is a more or less firm chain.

The braid 1 serving as a starting point is conveniently braided from spun cotton threads in such a way that a tube is created in the cavity of which a thread 3 (FIG. 1) is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the braid. Of course, the strand can also simply be twisted from spun threads, and it would be conceivable that the chain is crocheted in a different way than the one shown, whereby several strands can also be used to achieve a greater thickness of the chain.

With the semifinished product formed in the manner described, textile goods can be produced in a wide variety of ways and for a wide variety of purposes. In FIG. 2, for example, the structure of a braid is shown schematically, the chain 2 being drawn only as a single line for the sake of simplicity. The whole piece is made from a single chain and has the shape of an elongated rectangle, on each of whose two narrow sides a bracket 4 is arranged, which also consists of the chain 2.

In reality, you have to imagine the structure more closely braided than it is shown in the schematically held Fig.2 Darge, so that there are no openings before you can look through. The two ends of the chain 2 are knotted at 5 and 6, respectively, the knot advantageously being arranged in such a way that it is covered. To attach these knots, the chain sections lying next to each other can easily be pushed apart and then pushed against each other again.

The textile goods produced from the chain described will be relatively you. and has a rough surface. The structure shown in Fig. 2, the length of which is a multiple of the width and z. B. can be about 1/2 meter, is therefore particularly suitable as Frot animal and massage strips, which can be held with one hand on the Bü gel 4 to be nem use. The relatively dense Ge form because of the training described is also extremely absorbent, so that it can be used with advantage to dry off the body after the bath.

To produce the textile product from the chain-shaped semi-finished product, one is not bound to the braiding scheme shown in FIG. 2. The goods can be braided or woven, knitted or crocheted according to any other pattern.

Because of the thickness of the goods formed in this way, they can also be worked out very well as mats and templates of all kinds, but especially for toilet rooms.
