Description

Process for giving the hair suppleness and a shiny appearance.

The subject of the invention is a process for imparting suppleness and a shiny appearance to the hair. At the same time, this process makes it possible to protect the hair against the harmful effects of certain products used in usual operations, such as perming, coloring or bleaching, etc.

It is characterized in that the hair is impregnated with a solution of a product comprising at least one compound of pentavalent nitrogen of general formula:
An-X-R in which An denotes an anion, R denotes an organic radical comprising at least 12 9 carbon atoms, and X denotes a radical containing a pentavalent nitrogen atom.

The compounds of the type mentioned above include in particular derivatives of primary, secondary, tertiary amines, diamines, pyridic and quinoleic bases and their hydrogenation products, ureas, morpholine, etc., and in particular in particular their chlorides, sulphates, iodides. bromides, acetates, lactates, etc.

Among these compounds, there may be mentioned more especially: tribenzyloleylammonium iodide, methyl and triethyloetadecylammonium sulphate, pentadecyldihydroimidazole acetate, lauromethoxy octadecyl-piperidinium bromide, B sulphate -octadecylamino-phenyl-ethyldimethyl-ammonium. ss-hydroxyethyl-oetadéeylmorpholium chloride.

These substances can be used in aqueous or alcoholic solution or in other solvents with or without the addition of other known products.

The preparations may contain one or more of the substances mentioned above.

The use of these preparations therefore gives the hair shine and suppleness while ensuring their protection against the harmful effects of the products which are necessary for certain treatments.

Some examples of execution of the present process will now be described.

   Example 1:
The hair is treated with a 13 µl aqueous solution of 8-octadecylamino-phenyl-ethyl-dimethyl-ammonium sulfate; a shiny and flexible finish is thus obtained. If desired, a soluble salt of the RSOgH or ROSOgH type, where R is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical, comprising a chain having at least 12 carbon atoms, can be added to this solution.

   Example 2:
The hair is impregnated with an ammonia solution diluted to 18% of -hydroxyethyl-methyl.-ethyl-hexadecylammonium chloride, of formula:
EMI1.1

in order to give the hair suppleness and a shiny appearance. Where appropriate, this treatment can be combined with the known treatments for bleaching the hair. In this case, the above-mentioned solution is mixed with four times its volume of 12 and 3% hydrogen peroxide of a soluble salt of the RSOgII or ROS03II type, where R is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical comprising a chain having at least 12 carbon atoms.

      E. @ample 3:
A 40% dilute alcoholic solution containing 10% oetadéeyl-a-picolinium iodide is used to impregnate the hair which will then be supple and present the desired shine. If desired, one can add to this solution. aleoolic ion 1 / o of monoethyl ether of diethylene glycol, the presence of this ether then simultaneously ensuring the degreasing.

   Example 4:
A 12 O / o aqueous solution of hydroxyethyl-heptadéeyl-morpholium bromide is used to impart suppleness and shine to the hair. To this solution, 6% of emulsified oetadecenyl myristate can be added, in which case a simultaneous cleansing of the hair will be obtained.
