Description

Fig. 2 zeigt eine Variante im Schnitt. Fig. 3 zeigt ein Detail perspektivisch dar gestellt.

Device for block ice production. The invention relates to devices for ice block production and has the purpose of facilitating the removal of the ice blocks.

According to the invention, upwardly ver younger, arranged in the evaporator of a refrigerating machine, ice cells with a common, tightly pressed against them from below see ver, which can be lowered ge to remove the ice blocks.

The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings, for example.

Fig.l shows a schematic, perspective view of a device according to the invention.

Fig. 2 shows a variant in section. Fig. 3 shows a detail is presented in perspective.

The device for block ice production according to Für. 1 has two rows A and B each Weil in an evaporator 6 one not. Ice cells 1 arranged in a refrigeration machine were shown. The ice cells are expediently made of metal, have a pyramidal shape and are open on the underside. Lines 2 are connected to the upper end, through which the cells are fed with frozen water from a common container 3 Line 2 is provided with a shut-off valve .l.

The actuators of all the valves of the lines belonging to a row of cells are connected to a common rod 5 and can therefore be opened or closed at the same time with a single movement. The evaporators 6 are thermally insulated on the outside in a manner known per se. The insulating layer is not shown in FIG. The coolant is fed to the evaporators from a main line 7 via branch lines 8, 8 ', which can be shut off individually by valves (not shown). The vapors are withdrawn through line 9 from the evaporator room in order to return to the compressor or absorption vessel, not shown.

The ice cells are closed at the bottom by a movable floor 10 which is common to all cells in a row. The bottom is guided at each end on a vertical right rod 11 so that it can only be moved perpendicularly. Compression springs 12 are pushed onto the rods to support the floor. In order to ensure a hermetic closure of the ice cells, a hy draulic or pneumatic Druckvorrich device is provided, which is indicated by the lifting column 13. By actuating this pressure device, the bottom is pressed so firmly against the underside of the cells that no seepage occurs when the frozen water is let in.

A sealing ring is expediently provided on the floor under each individual cell for better sealing.

The freezing process can be accelerated by intensive water movement. For this purpose, an air supply line 17 is provided un below the bottom of each row. This is connected to a compressed air source by a flexible tube (not shown). From the line 17, nozzles 18 lead into the individual cells. The vent takes place through the nozzle 19 and the line 20. The passage of water from the cells into the air lines is prevented by non-return valves, not shown.

1 shows the row of cells B during the freezing process and the row of cells 14 after the freezing process has ended, when the bottom is down and the ice blocks can be freely removed. When this is done, the floor is lifted again and pressed firmly against the ice cells by actuating the pressing device. Then water is let in and the coolant is started to circulate through the evaporator, which initiates a new freezing process.

The loosening of the ice blocks from the cells can be accelerated by a defrosting process. This is done, for example, in such a way that coolant is introduced into the evaporator chamber through the supply lines 8 and then no suction takes place through the lines 9 for a few minutes, so that the evaporator chamber is heated.

Fig. 2 shows a device with a single row of ice cells 1, which are built into the evaporator 6 surrounded by heat insulating material. The valves 4 of the lines 2 are to be operated individually. The base 10 is guided on two rods 11 at each end. The lifting device for the floor is not shown; but it can also be designed as it was explained in connection with FIG. A seal 14 is arranged on the floor for each ice cell 1.

To ventilate the cells leads from the air space 21 above the freezing water level, each individual ice cell a nozzle into a line 20 'common to all cells, which is connected via an air pump 22 and a flexible pipe 23 to a distribution line, not shown, on the floor 10, from which the nozzle 18 are branched off. The line 20 'is passed through the evaporator space so that the circulating air is cooled.

In order to prevent water from flowing out of the ice cell into the air line system, a non-return valve (not shown) can be seen at the upper end of each connection piece 18 on the floor 10.

An oil drainage connection 24 is located above the bottom of the evaporator space, through which oil carried along by the refrigerant can be drawn off from time to time.

Fig.3 shows the arrangement of Kühlrip pen 15 on the ice cells in the evaporator chamber. The cooling fins are horizontal on the long sides of the evaporator and inclined on the broad sides and spread over the entire evaporator chamber. The coolant passes through openings 16 in the cooling fins. Such ribs can be placed in devices according to Figure 1 or Figure 2. The cells could also be fed directly from a water pipe. The ice cells could also be frustoconical.

The pressing of the Bo dens against the ice cells could also be done with mechanical pressure devices such. B. by means of Ge threaded spindles instead of the hydraulic or pneumatic ones. There could also be several rows of cells arranged side by side in a single evaporator and see ver with a single base.
