Closure seal: The invention relates to a closure seal with inflatable, hose-like hollow bodies, which are pressed between the movable closing element and the fixed frame, in particular for coke ovens and coke cooling chambers in gasworks. The invention consists in
that between tween the sealing surface of the closing element and the sealing surface of the frame located at a distance from it, at least two tubular hollow bodies as flat bodies with flexible walls made of sheet steel are arranged one above the other in such a way that their broad sides face one another.
At least three Hohlkör are advantageously arranged one above the other.
The invention is described below with reference to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing; explained in more detail.
Fig. 1 shows a part: the seal with inflated hollow bodies in section along the line I-I in Fig. 3 and Fig. 2, the same seal after relieving the hollow body and partial lifting of the door.
Fig. 3 shows the seal in a view of the frame with the door removed.
The chamber 2, which can be closed by means of the door 1, has a fixed frame 3 made of metal on the circumference of its opening.
This frame 3 has a U-shaped profile that is open towards the door 1. When the chamber 2 is closed, the door 1 is pushed onto the frame 3 until the surfaces formed by the collar 4 of the frame and the collar 5 of the door lie on top of one another. A bracket 6 is attached to the frame 3, which bracket has an arm reaching around the collar 5 of the door. The bracket 6 is provided with screw bolts 7, with the help of which the door 1 can be pressed firmly against the frame.
The closing seal formed from three tube-like hollow bodies 8 serves to seal the chamber 2 closed by means of the door 1. The hollow bodies are arranged in the nern of the U-shaped profile of the frame 3.
They are made from steel tubes with an oval cross-section with flexible walls and are connected to a supply device for a pressure medium. After inflation by the pressure medium, the hollow bodies are supported with their broad sides on each other, the uppermost hollow body on the sealing surface 9 formed by the inside of the door 1 and the lowermost hollow body on the sealing surface 10 formed by the bottom of the frame 3 for sealing Edition is coming. As a result, the chamber 2 between the door 1 and the frame 3 is metically closed.
To open the door, the hollow bodies are to be relieved by 8 by connecting their interior to the atmosphere when the pressure medium supply is interrupted. The hollow bodies thus move from the working position according to FIG. 1 into the relieved position according to FIG. 2, in which the broad sides of the thin-walled steel tubes stand out from one another. The sealing effect of the hollow body 8 disappears, and a gap is created between the sealing surface 9 of the door and the broad side of the uppermost hollow body.
After loosening the screw bolts 7 distributed on the circumference of the door 1, the door can be lifted off the frame and removed by moving ben in a direction of movement perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. The stops 11 and 12 attached to the frame 3 and the uppermost hollow body serve to secure the hollow bodies 8.
According to FIG. 3, the hollow bodies 8 are each connected by a branch in the line 13 to a pressure medium source (not shown). The line 13 has a three-way valve 14 with the aid of which the supply of pressure medium can be interrupted and the interior of the hollow body can be connected through the line 15 to the atmosphere. A manometer 16 enables the control of the pressure maintained inside the hollow body.
The sealing gasket described is suitable. .sich especially for sealing large doors or lids which are exposed to strong heat. A particularly advantageous application arises for gas works in which the coke is placed in a closed container and cooled by means of cooling gases guided by cloth.
The doors used to close such containers can have considerable dimensions, for example a length of 5 m and a width of 3 m. The hermetic seal over the entire circumference of the container opening, despite any deformation of the door caused by thermal stresses as a result of uneven heating at the operating temperatures of around 1000 C inside the container, poses particular problems Container, there. Regardless of the deformations of the doors, the elastic walls of the inflated hollow body come to rest sealingly on the entire circumference of the container openings.
The hollow bodies are also insensitive to the operating temperatures that occur.
The invention is not limited to the designated embodiment. Rather, the hollow bodies can also be Flachkör by other cross-sectional shapes, for example thin-walled steel tubes provided with longitudinal folds.
The described design and arrangement of the hollow body results in a favorable stress distribution in the hollow body wall when the body is inflated, because on the one hand the arrangement of at least two hollow bodies on top of each other causes the necessary deformation of the body until the sealing broadsides rest on the sealing surfaces of the door or of the cover and the frame compared to an embodiment with only one hollow body.
On the other hand, see the cross-sectional shape of the hollow body when expanding the circular shape; The result is an increase in the radii of curvature in the area of the narrow sides of the cross-sectional shape, which also prevents stress peaks from occurring in the wall of the hollow body.
