Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     tri-          fluormethylgruppenhaltigen        Ammoniumver-          bindung,    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man  eine Verbindung der Formel

    und das andere Chlor bedeutet,     umsetzt.     Man kann beispielsweise     Dimethylamino-          acet-3,

  4-dichlor-anilid    mit     Chloracet-2-chlor-5-          trifluormethyl-anilid    zur Reaktion bringen,  oder man setzt     Chloracet-3,4-dichlor-anilid    mit       Dimethylamino        -2-chlor-5-trifluormethyl-anilid     um.    Die neue     Verbindung,    das (3,4-Dichlor  phenyl-carbamyl-methyl)-(2'-chlor-5'-trifluor       methyl-phenyl-earbamyl-methyl)-dimethylam-          moniumchlorid,        _    ein weisses Pulver vom  Schmelzpunkt 152,5-154,5 , ist in heissem  Wasser löslich, hemmt das Bakterienwachstum  und schützt damit behandelte Ware, wie z. B.

    Leinen, Wolle, gegen das Vermorschen durch  Pilze.     Textilmaterialien,    Leder, Pelzwerk, Fe  dern, Haare, die dem Angriff von Schädlin  gen, wie z. B. Mottenraupen, Teppichkäfer  larven, ausgesetzt sind, werden durch sie vor       Beschädigung    und     Zerstörung    geschützt.  



  <I>Beispiele:</I>  1. 123 Gewichtsteile     Dimethylaminoacet-          3,4-diehlor-anilid    werden mit 136 Gewichtstei  len     Chloracet-2-chlor-5-trifluormethyl-anilid    in  500     Volumteilen    Essigester einige Stunden  unter Rühren     zum    Sieden erhitzt. Nach Be  endigung der     Umsetzung    wird gekühlt, der       Kristallbrei        abgenutscht,    mit Essigester nach  gewaschen und getrocknet.

   Man erhält 190  Gewichtsteile (3,4 -     Dichlorphenyl    - carbamyl       methyl)-(2'-chlor-5'-trifluormethyl-phenyl-car-          bamyl-methyl)-dimethylammoniumchlorid,    das  ein weisses, in heissem Wasser lösliches Pulver  vom Schmelzpunkt 152,5-154,5  darstellt.  



  2. Zu der gleichen     Verbindung    gelangt man  auch, wenn äquivalente Mengen von     Chloracet-          3,4-dichlor-anüid    und     Dimethylaminoacet-2-          chlor-5-trifluormethyl-anilid    in der oben ange  gebenen Weise umgesetzt werden.
