Self-winding watch. The object of the present invention is a watch with automatic winding by the movements of a mobile mass, comprising a hand indicating the power reserve of the watch.
This watch is characterized in that the mobile carrying said needle actuates a device for locking the mobile mass as the spring of the barrel is. Sufficiently Urinated.
Three embodiments of the watch forming the subject of the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which FIGS. 1, 3 and 5 are plan views of said embodiments, and FIGS. 2, 4 and 6 are sections respectively along lines II-II, IV-IV and VI-VI of fig. 1, 3 and 5.
Only the parts necessary for the com.préion of the invention have been shown; in particular, one did. shown that the mobile carrying the needle indicating the power reserve of the barrel spring, without indicating how. this mobile was driven, this drive being able to be provided by any known mechanism.
It suffices to notice to eE, about that between the position corresponding to the barrel spring completely unarmed, and that corresponding to the fully loaded spring, said mobile moves at an angle of preferably between 90 and 180, and does not effect in no case should a rotation be greater than a complete revolution, otherwise the indications of the said hand would be equivocal.
In the first embodiment (fig. 1 and 2), the axis 1 of the mobile 2 carrying the needle, not shown, indicating the power reserve of the watch, is provided with a finger 3 with the action of cam, extending in a radial direction. The device for blocking the moving mass comprises a lever 4 pivoted around a tenon 5, perpendicular to the movement 6 of the watch. This lever 4 comprises a nose 7 and a spout 8 carried by a flexible arm 8a. The lever 4 is constantly urged by the spring 9 in such a way that normally, this lever is pressed against the axis 1.
However, depending on the position of the mobile 2 and, consequently of the finger 3 around the axis 1, this finger is capable of coming into contact with the nose 7 of the lever 4 and of causing the latter to pivot laterally around the tenon 5 , against the action of the spring 9. The beak 8 then enters the path of the moving mass, when the lever 4 pivots dextrorsum (FIG. 1). In the inner side wall of the annular flange 11 of the. moving mass 12 is provided with at least one notch 10.
The operation of the device described. is the next. When the spring of the barrel is completely disarmed, the mobile 2 occupies a position such that the finger 3 is in its position furthest (approximately 180) from that shown in FIG. 1, where it comes into contact. with the nose 7. As the barrel spring is armed, the mobile 2 turns dextrors @ tm and the finger. 3 approaches the nose 7, with which it comes into contact when the spring of the barrel is almost fully loaded.
The movements of the mass 12, continuing to charge the barrel spring, the finger 3 will then push the lever 4 which will pivot dextrorsum around its tenon 5 until the spout 8. comes to press against the side wall of the flange 11 mass 12. The latter will then be braked, but not yet blocked to the point that it can no longer move at all, for example under the action of a slightly violent shock. Such a displacement of mass 12 made. however, press the nozzle 8 more strongly. against the king of the ledge 11.
In this case, the flexible arm 8a will arm itself slightly, and when a notch 10 appears. opposite said spout, it will penetrate inside this notch and block. the mass. Even at this moment, it is not excluded that a violent shock, impressed on the watch, will still move the mobile mass; but such a move only presses more strongly. the spout 8 against the wall of the rim 11 and when a notch 10 is present in front of the spout 11, the latter penetrates there more deeply and ensures a definitive locking of said mass.
The latter will thus remain blocked, until the spring of the barrel is. disarmed and that the mobile 2 has turned senestrorsum at an angle such that the beak 8 of the lever 4 comes out of the path of the mass 12, under the action of the spring 9.
The second embodiment (Fig. 3 and 4) differs from the first in that the lever 4 is replaced by a flexible blade 13 extending substantially in a plane parallel to that of the movement 6 and fixed to. the latter by one of its ends 6 in such a way that it is capable of moving in a plane perpendicular to that of this movement. The other end of said blade carries a nose 14 perpendicular to movement 6 and intended to penetrate axially inside the path of mass 12.
The cam-acting finger 3 is replaced here by a spring-tongue 15 fixed to the mobile 2 such that, when this tongue arrives under the blade 1.3, in the position shown in FIG. 3, when the spring. barrel is almost fully cocked, this tongue lifts the blade 13 so as to make the spout 1-1 penetrate inside the path of the mass 12 and, to block the latter, in one of the notches 16 made under ledge 17 of the. mass 12.
This device operates in a manner analogous to that of the first embodiment. The role played by the elasticity of the arm 8a is assumed here by the elasticity of the] an watch 15.
The device for blocking the movable mass in the third embodiment (fig. 5 and. 6) comprises a lock 19 of square section, driven axially inside an opening 20 of a bridge. 21 <the movement. of the watch. This lock is. led. by a screw 22 axially fixed, thanks to a tube 23 held laterally. inside a core 24 made in the bridge. 21.
This screw 22 is. driven in rotation by the intermediary of a pinion 25 in engagement with the nxobile 2. The pitch of this screw 22 as well as the number of teeth of the pinion 25 are chosen such that the. tip 26 of latch 19 axially penetrates inside the path of mass 12 when mobile 2 occupies the position corresponding to sufficient winding of the spring. barrel.
As in the first two embodiments, this lock 19 blocks the mobile mass until the moment. where the spring of the ba rillet is disarmed by a sufficient amount for the mobile 2 to remove the latch 19 from the path. mass 12.
